Tips for exhibitors

Dear exhibitors: Become part of our green team and take action for the future!

When you exhibit at a trade fair, you play a key role in shaping a sustainable event. Here are a few practical tips on how to participate more sustainably:

If possible, opt for public transport or car share with your colleagues.

Choose a hotel that is reachable on foot and/or adopts environmentally friendly practices.

Consolidate your shipments and aim to use transport and logistics companies that adopt sustainable methods.

Choose local suppliers to support the local economy and reduce transport routes.

Choose suppliers that meet environmental and social criteria.

Bring your own reusable water bottle and use our water dispensers to help reduce single-use plastics.

If you are serving food at your stand, opt for local, vegetable-based products and avoid single-use plastics.

Avoid food waste and only order as much as you need.

Take part in numerous initiatives and discussions during the event to support the sustainable development of your sector.

Inspire visitors by presenting the sustainable features of your products.

Choose a reusable all-in stand model from the event organiser or design your own stand that can be reused year after year. Work with stand builders to make your stand as sustainable as possible! Avoid building a single-use stand just for one event…

Create reusable signs (without dates) from recycled materials and with eco-friendly ink where possible.

Use LED lighting and other energy-efficient devices for your stand and don’t forget to turn them off at the end of the day.

Try to avoid using carpet but, if you really need it, opt for reusable carpet tiles. If using a standard carpeted floor, make sure that it can be and is recycled.
