The cylindrical storage container has a volume of approx. 75 litres, sufficient for approx. 2 sacks of the respective product, depending on the product’s bulk density.
It can be designed as a gravimetric dosing system by mounting a weighing platform below the 3 height-adjustable construction supports. This is useful in the case of large fluctuations in the bulk density and more precise requirements for dosing accuracy.
The compact dosing unit with 1 – 2 dosing screws is often also used as an intermediate container in order to be able to position a dosing unit that takes up very little space at points that are difficult to access.
In this case, the product is fed in via a ZDM 400 or Big Bag emptying stations / sack dumps with a ZFP 500.
The main component of the compact dosing unit with 1 – 2 dosing screws are 2 rotating, rigid stirring arms (scrapers) on the bottom of the cylindrical container, which ensure that the dosing screw mounted on one side (soulless spiral) is completely filled with the product. Because the dosing screw is always 100% full, precise dosing of the discharge quantity is achieved (volumetric dosing, +/- 3%).
A linear discharge curve is created by using a frequency converter for the geared motor of the dosing screw
The individual dosing screws work independently of each other and can map different dosing quantities.
