The combined trade fair ‘Solids & Recycling-Technik’ in Dortmund continues to establish itself as one of the most important industry gatherings for bulk materials and recycling. Even now, a year before the fair opens on 9 and 10 October 2024, 80 per cent of the exhibition space and 280 exhibitors have already been confirmed. “We can once again expect strong growth for 2024. Alongside our loyal regular exhibitors, we are delighted to welcome so many newcomers,” says Anna Lena Sandmann, the organiser’s representative from Easyfairs Deutschland GmbH, expressing her satisfaction with the development. Inspired by the successful debut of the latest Solids offshoot in Parma, several Italian companies will also be exhibiting in Dortmund for the first time next year. In addition, innovative start-ups are bringing a breath of fresh air to the event. A new start-up area in Hall 7 has been set aside for them, and attractive special terms are making it easier for them to get started as exhibitors. With Eurodur GmbH, which specialises in wear protection, and Fr. Jacob Söhne GmbH & Co. KG, which focuses on pipework systems, two new premium partners will also be on board next year.

Trade fair platform is very popular with exhibitors

Current bookings demonstrate just how sought-after this merger of the two trade fairs is. As things stand, spaces are only still available in one of the three exhibition halls, and the line-up of exhibitors looks very promising. Visitors in autumn 2024 can therefore look forward to seeing long-standing companies such as Siemens AG, Stif France, Krahnen GmbH and Craco GmbH. In addition, trade visitors in Dortmund can expect a large number of new exhibitors. Next autumn, for example, the Austrian firm Kukla Waagenfabrik, HWH Machines GmbH and Singold Gerätetechnik GmbH will be presenting their solutions for the first time, whilst FZ-Recycling GmbH & Co. KG, TS-Systemfilter GmbH and Resatec AG will also be making their debut at the Dortmund venue. Furthermore, the successful launch of the latest Solids Tocher in Parma, Italy, has had a positive impact and boosted the appeal of the entire trade fair series. Consequently, some of the exhibitors from that event are now venturing across the Alps for the first time and will be exhibiting at the German parent trade fair in 2024. These include Delfin Srl, Falcon Srl, Vibrotech Srl, F.Lli Sacci and Gimat Srl, to name but a few of the companies.

Start-ups are breathing new life into the event

On 9 and 10 October 2024, the start-ups in Hall 7 will bring a fresh new perspective. No fewer than six of these resourceful young companies will be housed in the new Start-Up Area located there. For their debut as exhibitors at Solids & Recycling-Technik, they will benefit from bespoke, ready-to-use exhibition stands, special terms and a tailored marketing package. One of the pioneers is Silbloxx, which will be presenting its innovative silo module system in Dortmund. With this comprehensive package, the organiser Easyfairs is demonstrating that both established exhibitors and newcomers to the bulk materials and recycling sectors will find an attractive platform in Dortmund.
