Anniversary Edition of “Solids & Recycling-Technik” Impresses with Significant Increase in Attendance

(Dortmund) Even in economically challenging times, the Solids & Recycling-Technik trade shows in Dortmund maintained their position as one of the most important platforms for the bulk materials, process, and recycling industries. To mark the 20th anniversary of Solids Dortmund, nearly 370 companies—together with Recycling-Technik—showcased their technological expertise. 5,082 trade visitors—22% more than the previous year—took advantage of the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts, gaining new insights and concrete project ideas. A diverse supporting program added further technical depth to the trade show.

(Dortmund) – On March 18 and 19, 2026, Dortmund will become the meeting place for the bulk materials, process, and recycling industries. The SOLIDS & RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund trade show duo brings together, over two days, the full range of expertise in the processing, handling, and recycling of fine- to coarse-grained materials and waste streams. Trade visitors will gain access to practical solutions from industry experts and a top-notch supporting program. With the new “Process Automation” exhibition area, the trade fair duo is also providing new impetus for digitized, transparent, and energy-efficient production and recycling processes.

Process automation, start-up award, and industry podcast: diversity at SOLIDS & RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund 2026

(Dortmund) – On March 18 and 19, 2026, SOLIDS Dortmund 2026 will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The 9th edition of RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund will take place concurrently. In four halls, exhibiting companies will present new and proven technologies and solutions for the bulk materials, process, and recycling industries. Visitors can look forward to numerous highlights—including a new “Process Automation” special area, the Polish Pavilion, the inaugural Start-Up Award, and the new industry podcast “BULK-TALK.”

(Dortmund) SOLIDS & RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund 2026 is experiencing dynamic growth in exhibitor numbers: With about nine months to go before the trade show begins, 75% of the booth space has already been reserved, including numerous new and long-standing exhibitors. In addition to a new Special Area for process automation and the popular Start-up Area, the BULK MASTERS Hackathon will take place once again. This trade show duo offers companies exciting opportunities for presentation and networking in the bulk materials and recycling industries.

Trade fair duo impresses with quality and innovative strength

(Dortmund) With a spectacular live explosion, the Solids & Recycling-Technik Dortmund trade shows kicked off two eventful days on October 9, 2024. Around 400 exhibitors—a good 35% more than the previous year—impressed visitors with their solutions, and 4,150 trade visitors took the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts or participate in the interesting supporting program. The new exhibition area dedicated to process automation was just as well-received as the separate Start-up Area featuring nine innovative young companies. The new side event, the “Bulk Masters” hackathon, made a particularly strong impression.

Process technology is looking for creative minds and innovative ideas

(Dortmund) For the fall edition of the Solids & Recycling-Technik trade shows on October 9 and 10, 2024, in Dortmund, the organizer Easyfairs is breaking new ground by hosting a hackathon for the process industry for the first time—a modern, collaborative event that originated in the software industry. Running parallel to the trade show, the “Bulk Masters” hackathon will bring together creative minds in several teams to collaboratively develop innovative solutions to current industry challenges under the themes “Food goes Powder” and “Young Professionals.” Lucrative prize money awaits the winners of this creative contest, who will be selected by an independent jury following the presentation of results on the second day of the trade show.

On October 9 and 10, 2024, the Solids & Recycling-Technik Dortmund trade shows will return for their next edition. Back to its usual schedule, the platform is becoming increasingly popular with exhibitors, and 80 percent of the booth space has already been reserved. In addition to many long-standing companies, the industry gathering is pleased to welcome numerous new participants, including several Italian representatives from the sector. Attractive startup terms will make it easier for resourceful young companies to participate as exhibitors at the next event.

Trade shows inspire and show the innovative strength of the sectors

Once again, the three trade shows—SOLIDS, RECYCLING-TECHINK, and PUMPS & VALVES—demonstrated just how much potential lies within these industries during their two-day event in Dortmund. On March 29 and 30, 5,251 visitors witnessed firsthand the innovative strength of companies in the fields of process, manufacturing, and recycling technology. In addition to the exhibition, the audience was particularly impressed by the high-caliber supporting program and lecture series. Topics such as plastics and construction materials recycling, as well as digitalization, were the focus of the presentations. On the new Impuls Center stage, keynote speakers from outside the industry also offered a fresh perspective.
