Early demand confirms strong market position
(Dortmund) SOLIDS & RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund 2027 is seeing strong demand at an early stage. With 15 months to go before the exhibition opens, around 60 per cent of the available space has already been booked. In total, over 240 exhibitors have already decided to take part on 1 and 2 December 2027. The trade fair duo is thus building on the success of the 2026 edition at an early stage, where 370 exhibitors and visitor growth of over 22 per cent underscored the event’s high level of market acceptance. Together, SOLIDS and RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund once again form one of the most important platforms for business development and networking in the bulk materials, process and recycling industries.
Focus on technologies and solutions
This trade fair duo brings together suppliers and users across the industrial process and recycling chain. The focus is on solutions for a wide range of materials: from powders, dusts, granulates and other fine- to coarse-grained bulk materials, right through to recyclable materials, secondary raw materials, production residues and waste streams. Among other things, the exhibition will showcase technologies for conveying, storing, dosing, mixing, crushing, screening, separating and automating, as well as for fire and explosion protection and the reprocessing and environmentally sound disposal of waste products. Among the most recently registered companies are well-known suppliers such as Stadler Anlagenbau GmbH, Endress+Hauser GmbH+Co. KG, Hosokawa Alpine AG and Fike Deutschland.
Focus on investment decision-makers and subject matter experts
The event attracts a highly qualified professional audience. This includes decision-makers from the fields of production, plant engineering, technology and management who are preparing specific investment projects, evaluating technologies and making procurement decisions. At the last edition, 60 per cent of trade visitors were investment and procurement decision-makers, three-quarters of whom came to Dortmund with a specific interest in investment. Those in attendance included prospective clients from the chemical, food, building materials, metal, plastics, environmental technology and circular economy sectors, amongst others.
Strong 2026 edition provides a boost
The response to the previous event underlines the enduring importance of this trade fair duo. Compared with the previous edition, the latest event in 2026 saw visitor numbers rise by more than 22 per cent, thereby sending a clear signal to the market. Over 240 companies have already registered for the upcoming edition in December 2027, meaning that around 60 per cent of the available space has been allocated 15 months before the fair begins.
“Particularly in economically challenging times, face-to-face interaction within the industry continues to grow in importance. The high number of exhibitors who have already registered shows that companies are actively seeking direct dialogue, new business contacts and concrete solutions. SOLIDS & RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund provides the ideal setting for this and remains a key meeting place for the bulk materials,
process and recycling industries,” says exhibition director Anna Lena Sandmann.
Premium partners in key technology sectors
This continuity is also evident among the partners. The premium partners REMBE GmbH Safety + Control in the field of explosion protection, Ebro Armaturen Gebr. Bröer GmbH in the field of valve technology, Kitzmann GmbH in the field of process plant engineering, and Fr. Jacob Söhne GmbH & Co. KG in the field of pipework systems have once again confirmed their participation for 2027. They represent key technological sectors within the industries represented at the trade fair and play a particularly significant role in shaping the technical profile of the business platform.
“SOLIDS & RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund is an important platform for us to engage directly with investment decision-makers, end-users and partners from the process and recycling industries. As a premium partner, we bring our expertise in valve, actuator and automation technology to this pair of events, which stands for high technical relevance, concrete business opportunities and a strong market presence,” said Andreas Kühn, Key Account Manager for Bulk Material Technology at Ebro Armaturen Gebr. Bröer GmbH.
RECYCLING-TECHNIK reaches its 10th edition
Following on from the 20th anniversary of SOLIDS Dortmund last year, RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund will also be making a special mark in 2027 with its 10th edition. As an established part of the trade fair duo, it has for years complemented the business platform’s profile with key topics from the recycling industry, thereby contributing significantly to the breadth of content at the event.
Companies offering technologies and solutions for the bulk materials, process and recycling industries can currently enquire about exhibiting at the early-bird rate via the trade fair’s website or directly with the organising team.
