STRABAG’s value stream management in North Rhine-Westphalia addresses precisely this issue: at our sites in Oberhausen, Düren and Neuss Harbour, mineral construction waste is not only disposed of properly, but also returned to the economic cycle as a valuable resource. This creates a sustainable material cycle that makes the construction industry fit for the future.
Instead of extracting new raw materials, we focus on recycling existing materials. Broken concrete, brick debris, road rubble and other mineral construction waste are sorted, processed and reused as certified recycled building materials at STRABAG. This not only saves costs, but also reduces CO₂ emissions and conserves natural resources.
