Drum dryers/ coolers
Drum dryers/coolers are used to dry/cool free-flowing bulk materials. The most important characteristics behind these systems are their high output rates and their ability to process solids with particle properties that vary heavily or that have very wide size distributions. Allgaier continues to manufacture and develop drum dryers/coolers based on the Mozer system, which has earned a worldwide reputation as a high-quality, high-performance drying and cooling system. The custom nature of the drums, which are always sized and manufactured in such a way as to meet the specific needs of the project at hand, ensures that the dryer/cooler system can be used for an extremely broad range of applications with throughputs ranging from 1 t/h to over 350 t/h. The intensive transfer of mass and heat inside the drums contributes to an extremely efficient drying/cooling process. Today, Allgaier drum dryers/coolers can be found in virtually any industrial sector. Although the range of successful applications in which they are used is extremely wide, these systems are especially well-suited to the needs of the minerals, chemical, fertilizer, and recycling industries. Drum dryers/coolers are available as single-shell, double-shell, or triple-shell drums. Their design and sizing ensure high capacities in compact spaces and innovative special-purpose designs can be used to combine other process steps with drying.

Tumbler Screening Machine TSM/tsi
Allgaier TSM/tsi tumbler screening machines have been setting standards in the fine and ultra-fine screening of dry bulk materials for years. Precise separation with up to 7 fractions, a variety of screen cleaning devices to match your product, quality built and durable, these are the standards of an Allgaier screening machine. TSM/tsi tumbler screening machines are used for classification, protective screening and dedusting of bulk materials for products such as stone and earth, chemicals, food, mining, pharmaceuticals, and animal. Functionality: A three-dimensional eccentric motion shape with radial and tangential inclination specifications is the heart of the effective screening of a TSM/tsi tumbler screener. During operation, radial inclination ensures that the material moves from the center of the screen to the outside, while the tangential inclination causes the material to move in a circular motion on the screen. The interaction of both forces ensures a spiral movement of the particles on the screen cloth and a long particle residence time on the screen. Optimum separation sharpness of the fractions is achieved and oversized particles effectively separated out on the top deck. Benefits: - Gentle and Efficient Screening: The action of the tumble screener has no negative impact of the screened material structure. - Maximum Efficiency: Long particle retention time; optimum separation efficiency, up to 99% efficient. - High Performance: Effective screen-cleaning enables throughput of up to 40t/h because of reduced blinding/pegging. - Maximum Flexibility: Up to 6 decks; precise separation up to 7 fractions; screen area sizes from 0.28 m2-6.40 m2; Allgaier RATEX system allows for custom adjustments to maximize efficiency for your specific product. - Robust Design: Thick-walled bottom pan with internal seals, robust welded part; Gas-tight up to 50 mPa.

Rolling Bed Dryer
The growing global interest in the use of biomass as a substitute fuel calls for innovative solutions. The Allgaier Rolling Bed Dryer WB-T combines the advantages of the Drum Dryer and the Fluidized Bed Dryer and is ideally suited for processing all types of biomass. The innovative design of the machine enables an even and gentle drying at a low temperature level with a particularly long residence time. This is an important success factor for the waste/recycling and biofuel industries, as well as for agriculture. The WB-T also processes large particles of wood chips, green waste, bioresidues and digestate effectively and economically with the use of residual energy. Functionality: At the Rolling Bed Dryer WB-T the product layer lies on a perforated plate and is supplied with drying air from below. This air is continuously circulated by an agitator for product transport and for good mixing of the bulk material. Its high filling ratio ensures that the drying air undergoes numerous deflections until it leaves the bulk again. This leads to a very efficient heat exchange and guarantees that no moist zones are created. An even and optimum drying result is also achieved by avoiding layering between the hot inflow floor and the top of the bulk. Benefits: - High performance: Unproblematic operation also with difficult, large or entangling particles. Good mixing of the product bulk and even residual moisture. Cleaning effect for optimum product quality. - Maximum efficiency: Low temperature capability for effective waste heat recovery. - Minimal process costs: Use of residual energies and therefore low operating costs. - Multiple usage areas: Universal usability for numerous products. -Robust design: Robust construction for high availability and low maintenance costs. - High safety: Explosion proof version is possible.
Dispersion Dryer
Products with very high moisture content presents a major challenge for material drying. The Allgaier Dispersion Dryer FL-T accomplishes this in one pass without product recirculation. This spray dryer is also capable of handling fine and very moist powders that disintegrate during drying and can be conveyed pneumatically. The Allgaier Dispersion Dryer is an ideal solution for industrial applications such as stone and earth, chemicals, plastics, waste/recycling, and foodstuffs, where gentle drying in a matter of seconds is required. Functionality: The Allgaier Dispersion Dryer FL-T consists of an upright, cylindrical housing divided by a perforated inflow floor. The indirect drying air enters through an inlet below the inflow floor and moves upward in a spiral motion. Moist product is fed through an inlet onto a high-speed centrifugal wheel and dispersed by the air flow. By using various air direction tools, clumpy moist products are efficiently broken up. Intensive circulation of product and drying air enables the best possible heat and mass transfer. Compared to conventional flash dryers, the Allgaier Dispersion Dryer is much more efficient. The dried product is removed from the dryer by downstream cyclones or fine dust filters. Benefits: - High Performance: Direct drying of even very moist and lumpy products without pretreatment. - Gentle Product Treatment: Very gentle drying due to direct air current flow from below. - Multiple Usage: Suitable for use as an economical pre-dryer in multi-stage drying systems. - Compact Design: Efficient, space-saving design optimizes your square foot investment costs. - Maximum Flexibility: All common heating media such as natural gas, saturated steam, hot water, electric or thermal oil as your heat source can be used. - Minimal Process Costs: High water evaporation (efficiency) and heat recovery from dryer exhaust air (fuel cost savings) contribute to overall low operating costs.
Fluidized Bed Vibration Dryer/Cooler
The Allgaier Fluidized Bed Vibration Dryer/COOLER WS-V-T/K combines the advantages of vibratory and fluid bed technology, allowing even very moist product layers that are difficult to fluidize to be processed evenly and gently. With its integrated cooling function, it adapts optimally to the specific properties of the products to be processed and the process control. This convective dryer is particularly suitable for processing crystalline products, granulates as well as dusts and powders and is mainly used in the stone and earth, chemical, mining, waste/recycling and food industries. Functionality The solids to be treated are fluidized by an upward air flow. This creates optimum drying, reaction and handling conditions. The air cushions between the particles prevent abrasion and agglomeration. The fluidized bed is supported by the vibration of the dryer. As a result, cratering and air breakthroughs are effectively avoided even in very moist product layers that are difficult to fluidize. Particles of different sizes are dried evenly and securely. Benefits: - High performance: Even at very low dry material temperatures; Problem-free treatment of bulk materials with high moisture content; tendency to agglomeration as well as a wide particle spectrum. - Soft product treatment: Gentle handling of sensitive products. Integrated agitation zone for products that tend to cake. - Robust design: Two-mass resonance system as vibration drive with only low dynamic forces on the substrate. - Simple maintenance: Low maintenance and cleaning requirements. - Simple handling: Automatic and complete emptying. - Maximum flexibility: Optionally with integrated cooling section. - Minimal process costs: Low operating costs; heat is recovered from the dryer exhaust air and used in the further process.
Fluidized Bed Dryer/Cooler with Heat Exchangers
The Allgaier Fluidized Bed Dryer/Cooler with Heat Exchangers WS-HF-T/K (heating or cooling surfaces) is particularly suitable for processing bulk materials with low feed moisture, uniform grain size and low tendency to form lumps (e.g. salt and soda production or potato granules). Highest solids and water evaporation capacities can be realized at low air volumes and relatively low temperatures. And this with minimized thermal and electrical energy consumption. The machine is mainly used in the chemical, fodder and foodstuff industries. Functionality: Tube bundle heat exchangers are located in a particularly high, fluidized solid bed. During the process, they allow a constant heat supply or heat removal. Benefits: - High performance: Highest water evaporation/cooling capacity even at low drying temperature levels. High heat transfer between heat exchanger tube and fluidized bed. - Maximum efficiency: Very effective prevention of possible lump accumulation due to coarse material discharge. - Maximum flexibility: All common heating media such as saturated steam, hot water or thermal oil can be used. - Compact design: Minimum dryer size. Compact design of supply and exhaust air equipment components. - Multiple usage areas: Also suitable for processing products with high initial moisture due to back-mixing. - Minimal process costs: Reduction of hot air requirements and thus of energy consumption and exhaust air heat loss.

Vibration Batch Dryer
The Allgaier Vibration Batch Dryers WS-R-V-CT is the optimal solution for the treatment of solids that are difficult to handle. These include, for example, products that stick strongly at the beginning, are difficult to fluidize, have an irregular particle shape, require long drying times or change their properties during drying. Due to the easy cleaning, the WS-R-V-CT meets the high demands of the pharmaceutical and food industries in addition to the chemical industry. It is particularly suitable for drying small and medium product quantities such as gelatine, alginate capsules, nuts as well as cellulose fibers. Functionality: The solids to be treated are fluidized by an upward air flow. This is supported by the vibration of the dryer and by an agitator installed in the drying chamber. This prevents sticking and incrustation of the product in the apparatus. Benefits: - Soft product treatment: Suitable for products with special properties; no sticking and incrustation of the products in the apparatus. - Simple handling: Automatic and pneumatic emptying. Easy opening of the dryer hood for filling, sampling, inspection and cleaning. - Multiple usage areas: Pressure shock resistant design possible. - Small footprint: The machine has a small floor space requirement.

Fluidized Bed Spray Granulators
Fluidized Bed Spray Granulators from Allgaier can be used to produce solid and dust-free granules from liquid starting materials such as suspensions and solutions. The remaining dusts and powders can be further processed into easily soluble instant products. The machine is particularly suitable for processing urea granules, yeast and gelatin granules, and water jars. Functionality: During granulation, the solids-containing liquid is applied via nozzles to the fluidized bed and thus to the fluidized solid particles. The heat introduced with the drying air evaporates the water content or the respective solvent and causes the solids introduced with the liquid to grow onto the granulate nucleus. Solid, often shell-shaped built-up granules with very good flowability are formed. Once the granules have reached the desired diameter, they are discharged by classification through a screening machine or sifter. Particles that are too small are fed back into the process. Benefits: - High performance: Production of a dimensionally stable granulate with low dust quantities. - High safety: Explosion-proof version possible.

Suspension and Paste Dryers
With the Allgaier Suspension and Paste Dryers WS-IB-T suspensions, solutions, difficult pastes or solid filter cakes can be homogenized, dried and processed into powders. The plant is particularly suitable for processing pigments, hydroxides, silicon dioxide, chemical waste water. Functionality: The liquid distributed by nozzles is dried on the inert bodies fluidized with warm process air. In the process, the solid is reliably deagglomerated and formed into the finest powder. Caking is minimized by the frequent collisions of the balls. The dried solids are discharged with the drying air and separated from the exhaust air stream in high-performance filter systems. Benefits: - High performance: Production of agglomerate-free, homogeneous powders with good flow properties. - Robust design: Particularly robust against load fluctuations. - Soft product treatment: Sticking and caking are minimized by the fluidized, eruptive ball filling. - High safety: Explosion-proof version possible.

Combined Drying/Separating
Combined Drying/Separating Drums from Allgaier are of single-drum construction. This innovative drum construction is a combined system in which the drying and classification of bulk materials take place in a single unit. Therefore, only one drive and one bearing are required in each case. The system is suitable in cases where only coarse protective screening (in the cm range) is required. In addition, the system is particularly suitable for processing bulk materials with a very inhomogeneous particle size distribution, such as shredder material in vehicle recycling. Functionality: In the front section of the drum, the moist bulk material is dried very efficiently in co-current. A classifying zone of the same diameter is located immediately behind the drying zone and is firmly connected to it. The classifying zone, in the form of a cylindrical screening drum, performs the task of coarse classification into two grain classes (good grain and oversize grain). Typical separation cuts are in the range of a few centimeters. Good grain and oversized grain leave the drum via different outlets. Benefits: - High performance: Combined design eliminates the need for a separate (coarse) screening machine; no separate conveying unit required between the outlet and inlet of the dryer for coarse screening. - Maximum flexibility: High flexibility in grading is possible due to the design of the grading zone with different perforations. - Compact design: Height-optimized installation of drying and coarse screening possible.

Combined Drying and Cleaning
Combined Drying/Cleaning drums from Allgaier are of single-shell design. This innovative drum design is a combined system in which the drying and cleaning of surface-contaminated minerals take place in a single unit. Therefore, only one drive and one bearing is required in each case. The plant is particularly suitable for the surface cleaning of coarse-grained, crushed rocks such as clay-contaminated limestone. Functionality: In the front section of the Combined Drying/Cleaning drum, the moist, surface-contaminated bulk material is dried very efficiently in co-current. A separate cleaning zone, enlarged in diameter, is located immediately behind the drying zone. Due to the special design of the internal internals in this area, the pre-dried, contaminated bulk material is intensively and dynamically mixed within itself. As a result of the mutual, moving frictional contact between the particles, the adhering layer of dirt is very effectively removed from the actual rock (useful grain). The resulting fine-grained dirt abrasion is partially sucked out of the drum; remaining dirt dust is separated from the actual rock in subsequent screening stages. Benefits: - High performance: No separate cleaning unit required due to combined design. - Compact design: Compact dimensions and thus smaller footprint compared to wet cleaning. - High efficiency: Minimal operating costs for the drying and cleaning preparation stages. - Maximum efficieny: Cleaned rock material is already available in a dry state for further refinement. - High safety: Frost-proof system, as no washing water and thus no water treatment are required.
Combined Drying and Shredding
Combined Drying/Shredding TTM drums from Allgaier can be designed with either a single or double pass. This special drum design is a combined system in which the drying and the shredding or deagglomeration of bulk materials take place in a single unit. Therefore, only one drive and one bearing are required in each case. The plant is particularly suitable for processing filter cakes, ceramic raw materials and pre-dewatered sludges. Functionality: After being fed into the drum, the coarse, lumpy wet material is first pre-dried and then shredded or deagglomerated in the grinding track (consisting of the outer, cylindrical shell and the grinding media rolling inside it). This also exposes the internal moisture of lumps or filter cake plates for drying. After this zone, the crushed bulk material is further dried to the desired residual moisture content. Benefits: - High performance: Combined design eliminates the need for a separate shredding unit. - Maximum efficiency: A very homogeneous drying is made possible. - Maximum flexibility: By equipping the grinding track with different grinding media, high flexibility is possible during comminution. - Compact design: Compact overall dimensions possible (especially with two-pass drums).

Indirect Drying Drums
Indirect Drying Drums use hot air as a convective drying technique. This enables significant savings in primary energy and fuel by using the preheated, dust-free and dry cooler exhaust air. The reduced oxygen atmosphere makes it particularly suitable for use in drying products containing solvents. Indirect Drying Drums are particularly suitable for non-adherent, easy-flowing and fine-grained bulk materials such as zeolite, gypsum, silicate powder and titanium dioxide. Functionality: In indirect drying, the dampened material is moved on one side of a separating apparatus wall, while the apparatus wall is heated from the other side. Because of the high temperature differences, a very effective heat transfer occurs from the hot apparatus wall into the bulk material, heating and drying it. Benefits: - High efficiency: Low investment costs for exhaust air filters, low electrical energy requirements due to low process air volumes. - High safety: A reduced oxygen atmosphere is possible to avoid product oxidation or to avoid/reduce harmful exhaust gas flows. - Minimal process costs: No filter systems necessary for after-treatment of the warm cooler exhaust air. - Robust design: Robust and long-lasting construction.

Combined Drum Dryers/Coolers Mozer System
Combined Drum Dryers/Coolers from Allgaier are available in single-shell, double-shell and triple-shell designs. All three designs are combined systems in which drying and cooling take place in a single unit. Therefore, only one drive and one bearing are required in each case. Combined Drum Dryers/Coolers are offered in three types: TK, TK+ and TK-D. While the TK type is cooled by means of ambient air cooling, the TK+ uses evaporative cooling. The TK-D type is a further development. The TK-D complements the previous systems by offering the possibility of cooling to particularly low solid temperatures as well as efficient heat recovery and the resulting energy savings. The systems are particularly suitable for the processing of thermally and mechanically relatively insensitive, free-flowing bulk materials such as gravel, quartz and natural sands as well as limestone crushed sand. Benefits: - High performance: Very insensitive to fluctuations in material moisture, material grain size and feed rate. - High efficiency: Highest thermal efficiency due to very high hot gas temperatures and very high internal temperature difference. - Robust design: Very robust design for maximum service life with minimum maintenance costs. - Maximum flexibility: Easy to combine with a wide variety of heating systems and different fuels. Type TK-D: - High performance: Cooling of the dried solids to particularly low temperatures to close the ambient temperature/temperature of the cooling air used. - High efficiency High energy efficiency through heat recovery in the drying process and evaporative cooling in the cooling process. - Multiple usage areas: Can be used for countercurrent calcination with subsequent cooling.
Drum Dryers Mozer System
The Allgaier Drum Dryers are used for drying free-flowing bulk materials. High throughput rates as well as the possibility of treating solids with very widely distributed or strongly fluctuating particle properties characterize the Drum Dryers. They are particularly suitable for processing mineral materials, sands, slags, ores as well as coal. They are also available as single-shell, double-shell or even triple-shell dryers. The design and layout ensure high performance in a confined space. Functionality: Due to the application-related design of the drum (internal internals) and the rotation of the drums, very intensive contact is achieved between the loosened bulk material and the hot gas or air flowing through. This enables an extremely intensive mass/heat exchange and thus very efficient drying. In Double-Shell Drums, drying takes place in two concentrically arranged tubes. At the transition from the inner drum to the outer drum, the bulk material is deflected in its axial direction of movement. The inlet and outlet of the bulk material are on the same side of the drum. In Triple-Shell Drums, drying takes place in three concentrically arranged pipes. At the transition from the inner drum to the middle drum and from this to the outer drum, the bulk material is deflected in its axial direction of movement in each case. The inlet and outlet of the bulk material are on the opposite side of the drum. Benefits: - High perfomance: Very high thermal efficiency and low fuel consumption even without separate insulation of the drum. - Robust design: Particularly robust and wear-resistant drum designs can be fulfilled. - Compact design: Compact overall lengths even with high throughput rates. - Maximum flexibility: Installation of screwable wear segments, rapping devices and/or cleaning chains possible over the complete drum length; variety of installation options; ideal for performance upgrades of existing systems where space is limited.
Indirect Cooling Drums
Indirect Cooling Drums from Allgaier are used for cooling hot and very hot solids from calcining drums and rotary kilns and enable very effective recovery of thermal energy. Many bulk materials such as powdery or granular products must be cooled before further processing. In addition to direct or convective cooling by means of air, indirect cooling offers a very effective alternative due to the possible recovery of thermal energy. The system is particularly suitable for cooling titanium dioxide (type RKT) and calcined gypsum (type KTR). Functionality: With indirect cooling, the hot solid is moved along one side of a separating apparatus wall, while the air cools the wall from the other side and is thus not in direct contact with the bulk material. Due to the high temperature differences, a very effective heat transfer occurs from the hot product through the walls of the cooling tubes into the cooling air. Benefits: - High efficiency: As a result of the heat recovery from the hot solid, there is a short amortization period for the investment. - Minimal process costs: Savings in primary energy and fuel through use of the preheated, dust-free and dry cooler exhaust air; consequently, filter systems for post-treatment of the warm cooler exhaust air are not required. - Robust design: Robust and durable design. - Environmentally friendly: Heat recovery makes a significant contribution to sustainable management and environmental protection; natural resources are conserved.

Wear-resistant screen cloth – with multiple service life
Sieve cloths and sieves are significantly functionally relevant and thus critical wear parts in screening machines. If the meshes fail, e. g. as a result of highly abrasive products, this results in production downtimes, product contamination and necessary assembly work such as mesh or screen deck replacement. Allgaier offers completely new types of wear-resistant screen cloths, which have an impressive service life that is several times longer than that of previous standard cloths.
