Blickfeld GmbH
About us
Blickfeld is a provider of 3D LiDAR sensors and perception software and was founded in 2017 with headquarters in Munich, Germany. Blickfeld is dedicated to developing a high-performant and mass producible LiDAR sensor. The company achieved this by reinventing one of the core components of the 3D sensors as well as rethinking the setup of the device. The result is a performant, small and reliable LiDAR sensor, that, in combination with Blickfeld’s perception software, enables countless industrial, mobility, smart city and security applications.
Unrivaled small size, lightweight and protection against vibrations or dust make the sensors ideal for use in the field of Industry 4.0, but also warehouses, on construction sites or in mining areas. Companies need to keep track of volumes and fill levels, as well as available space in warehouses, trucks or containers. This enables better planning and can significantly reduce management and operational costs. The most reliable sensors for this task are LiDAR sensors which measure direct distance information in 3D and can accurately provide information on occupancy and fill levels.
Products

QbVolume
QbVolume continuously captures and processes 3D data on-device, providing volume information on various goods and materials. The integrated, user-friendly software is fully customizable, enabling remote and automated volume monitoring of diverse goods and materials. The sensor also supports measuring silo fill levels and determining pallet’s loading volumes. QbVolume offers reliable detection in both indoor and outdoor environments, consistently performing in harsh weather and lighting conditions as well as dusty surroundings. Designed for high durability, QbVolume is maintenance-free and has an IP67-rated housing.

Volume Monitoring Solution
Accurate volume measurement is a key component to tracking and capturing material inventories. Blickfeld's volume monitoring solution based on LiDAR technology and supplementary software ensures efficient inventory management through reliable real-time data. With precise information on the material stock of goods of all kinds, this type of volume monitoring enables improved and targeted planning of demand, production and overall distribution. Up until now, inventory monitoring in powder and bulk storage facilities has been a challenge for many industries. The sensors used to date are usually mechanical or have a very simple design and do not provide the information required for precise, real-time level monitoring and inventory management. Blickfeld's volume monitoring solution enables companies to react more flexibly to fluctuations and at the same time to be more efficient in warehouse management and the sale of bulk goods or recycling materials. The use of LiDAR technology for capturing material stock thus makes an important contribution to the digitization and optimization of a company's supply chain processes. Features - Accurate & precise volume monitoring based on 3D LiDAR technology - Continuous & digital monitoring of volume data in real-time - Easy to scale, multi-sensor setups for large area coverage - Remote data access via PC, laptop, tablet or mobile - Data visualization via online dashboard - ERP integration possible
