FLAMQUENCH II SQ FLAMELESS EXPLOSION VENTING
Designed for use with square/rectangular explosion vents, FlamQuench SQ technology consists of various layers of high temperature stainless steel which absorb heat produced during the combustion. This allows conventional venting to be done indoors with no release of flame.
EXPLOSION SUPPRESSION
Fike suppression systems are designed to detect and chemically suppress an explosion in its earliest stages – before an explosion can cause a disaster or become catastrophic. While un-suppressed explosion pressures reach dangerous levels in less than 50 milliseconds, Fike’s unique technology can detect and respond in less than 1 millisecond – averting a catastrophe.

DFI – Dual-Flap Isolation Valve
The DFI is a check valve for passive explosion decoupling. The operation of the DFI valve is passive (flow actuated), which means that no external energy is required to close the valve flaps when deflagration occurs. When process air flows through during regular operation, the air pulls or pushes the valve flaps open, allowing air to flow from the process to the protected area. When deflagration occurs in the protected area, the explosion pressure created causes the process air flow to reverse and close the valve flaps, preventing the deflagration flame front from spreading upstream beyond the valve.
