In process engineering applications, bulk material processors are frequently challenged by high material volumes. The VACUPRESS from Grenzebach gently and efficiently deaerates and compacts fine, free flowing bulk solids. Achieving up to 75% volume reduction and significantly increasing bulk density, it provides ideal conditions for more compact storage, more economical transportation, and clean, fast packaging processes. Wirlwind Mill | High Product Quality Begins With the Grinding Process
High product quality begins with the grinding process. Fine powders and sensitive materials, in particular, require precise, reproducible size reduction while maintaining high throughput and low thermal stress. The Grenzebach whirlwind mill operates using an innovative, screenless principle, which prevents blockages and reduces maintenance efforts. The grinding intensity can be adjusted flexibly: from coarse fine material to ultrafine particles. ROSI | Real-Time Quality Assurance With AI Support
Reliable quality assurance is increasingly becoming a competitive factor. Grenzebach relies on intelligent, camera-based systems for inline analysis. With future production requirements in mind, Grenzebach offers ROSI (Real-Time Optical Surface Inspection), an AI-supported inspection system for real-time surface analysis. ROSI reliably identifies defects, color deviations, and shape irregularities, and can be continuously adapted to new requirements thanks to intelligent software, without any programming skills. An intuitive drag-and-drop interface also simplifies the creation of rules for quality assessment. Early quality detection increases process reliability and reduces waste. Thanks to its modular design, ROSI can be integrated flexibly into existing production lines. While the system is already used successfully in panel production, the modular software packages also open up applications in bulk materials and powder processing, an important step toward digitalized processes.

Technology Center and Laboratory
At Grenzebach’s Bad Hersfeld site in Germany, a 400 m² technology center with an integrated laboratory is available — equipped for practical testing of raw materials and process engineering workflows. Individual customer requirements are analyzed, tested, and further developed—under realistic conditions and with the goal of creating customized, process-oriented solutions.

InnoTeer | Sustainable Thermal Asphalt Recycling
InnoTeer supports federal, state, and local authorities in safely decontaminating tar- and PAH contaminated reclaimed asphalt and turning it into a high quality construction material. The goal is to keep mineral road construction materials fully within a closed loop and to avoid landfilling as much as possible. The process enables the treatment of tar and pitch contaminated reclaimed asphalt directly at existing asphalt mixing plants. As a result, transport distances are reduced, landfill volumes minimized, carbon emissions significantly lowered, and a valuable contribution is made toward broader resource efficiency and climate protection objectives. The InnoTeer process was developed in collaboration with Fraunhofer UMSICHT and combines scientific expertise with industrial practicality.
