Trajectory Mixing for Ceramics and Refractory
Trajectory Mixing for Ceramics & Refractory Materials Trajectory Mixing is a container-based mixing technology for ceramic and refractory formulations such as castables, slips, pastes and high-solid suspensions. Instead of using stirring tools, the entire container is moved on controlled trajectories, creating intensive and highly uniform mixing inside the material. This allows efficient wetting of fine powders, homogeneous binder distribution and gentle handling of aggregates – without shear-induced damage or metal contamination. Because the material remains in a closed container, cross-contamination is eliminated and cleaning between batches is reduced to a simple container change. This makes trajectory mixing ideal for multi-product production, test batches and high-performance refractory and ceramic formulations. Typical applications Refractory castables (ULCC, LCC, NCC) Ceramic slips and slurries Technical ceramics High-solid pastes and compounds Key benefits Uniform wetting and dispersion of fine ceramic powders Gentle mixing without paddle or blade wear No metal abrasion, no contamination Fast batch changeover via container exchange High reproducibility for R&D, pilot and production

K1 - Trajectory Mixer / Lab Mixer
K1 – Trajectory Mixer for R&D and Pilot Production The K1 is a compact laboratory and pilot-scale trajectory mixer for powders, pastes and viscous materials. It mixes materials in closed containers using high-speed container motion instead of stirring tools. This enables very fast, gentle and contamination-free mixing – even for sensitive, abrasive or highly filled formulations. Because the product remains inside the container, no cleaning of the mixer is required between batches. The K1 is used for formulation development, material testing and pilot production in applications such as battery materials, ceramics, refractory, specialty chemicals and high-value food ingredients. Key benefits Tool-free mixing in closed containers Very short mixing times No cross-contamination, no CIP Easy scale-up to J-series production systems

The J4-MPC - Trajectory Mixer / Managed Production Cell
J4-MPC – Managed Production Cell The J4-MPC is a compact production cell that combines trajectory mixing with automated container handling. It replaces large batch mixers, conveyors and cleaning systems with a flexible, container-based production concept. Materials are mixed in closed containers that are automatically loaded, processed and exchanged – instead of cleaning machines. This enables fast product changeovers, low work-in-progress and highly reproducible batches. Key benefits Zero-downtime changeover Products are changed by swapping containers, not by cleaning equipment. Low work-in-progress Only the active containers hold material – no pipes, no large mixers full of semi-finished product. High-mix ready Designed for frequent recipe and product changes without loss of productivity.
