Sistemi di isolamento dalle esplosioni di IEP Technologies
Isolate Explosions – Chemically or Mechanically. IEP Technologies Isolation Systems are designed to detect an incipient explosion and react to minimize the risk of the deflagration from traveling between interconnected equipment within your process. The Chemical Type isolation method discharges an explosion suppressant into pipeline/ductwork mitigating the passage of flame and burning materials to interconnected equipment. The Mechanical Type isolation method can be designed using either an “Active” product such as the IEP Technologies high speed knife valve or a “Passive” product such as our Flap Valve. Each of these provide a mechanical barrier which isolates the deflagration event.

Atexon® automatic spark detection and extinguishing systems by IEP Technologies — react faster than an explosion.
Atexon® spark detection and extinguishing systems by IEP Technologies are designed to protect industrial processes by helping reduce the risk of ignition sources such as burning embers from reaching protected equipment. The system detects sparks and extinguishes them automatically without interrupting process operations. The small amount of water extinguishant used, approximately five liters, will greatly limit any interruption to filters or other production machines. Once the ignition source has been mitigated, the system automatically resets to normal operations and is ready to extinguish new ignition sources.

IEP Technologies Explosion Suppression Systems
Detect and suppress explosions in milliseconds. IEP Technologies Explosion Suppression Systems are designed to detect, within milliseconds, the pressure build-up of an incipient explosion and deliver an explosion extinguishing agent to the enclosed area before destructive pressures develop. The extinguishing agent inhibits the explosion reaction by withdrawing heat from the burning flame and thus lowering its temperature to such an extent that combustion cannot continue. Furthermore, the explosion extinguishing agent forms a barrier between the combustible particles and thus prevents further heat transfer.

IEP Technologies Explosion Venting Systems
Relieve Explosion Pressure Safely. An IEP Technologies Explosion Vent is a relief device that ruptures at a predetermined pressure to allow the fireball and explosive pressure to vent to a safe area. Rupture style vents are economical to install and these highly efficient vents fit into the walls of a process volume. They are available in a variety of sizes, configurations and materials to ensure fast reliable operation during an explosion event. IEP Technologies also offers a range of Flameless Vents which are designed to quench the flame front and relieve the pressure. This vent is typically used in applications which cannot be vented to a safe, outside area. Either vent type is typically installed in conjunction with an IEP Technologies Isolation System.

EX8000™ Multi Zone Control Unit
The EX8000™ Multi Zone Control Unit is responsible for the protection system control and status verification functions. The electronic system is integrated on a modern and reliable board with redundant circuitry for all safety functions. Power supply, emergency battery and connection technology are all accommodated within the cabinet. All signals from the explosion pressure, spark, flame or temperature sensors employed in the protection system are recorded, tested and evaluated by the EX8000. The monitoring and activation circuits are continuously checked with regard to wire breakage, earth fault and short circuit. In addition, an automatic self-test system ensures that all safety relevant functions of the EX8000 are monitored. In case of power failure the emergency battery automatically takes over without interruption and can be sustained from 4 hours to 24 hours, depending on the application requirement. All fault and alarm messages are displayed by both light emitting diodes (LED) and the EX8000 front panel display which can also be forwarded by means of potential-free contacts. The EX8000 offers maximum flexibility to users of multi actuation zone applications through its modular approach. Depending on the configuration of the explosion protection system the related protection measures are activated selectively. The EX8000 base unit allows control and indication of four detection and activation circuits (zones). This can be scaled-up depending on the needs of the application, up to 16 zones within one standard wall mount unit. The floor mounted cabinet version can handle even up to 32 zones. These features make the EX8000 the most comprehensive solution on the market.

EVN 3.0 Explosion relief valve
Many process vessels are located inside a building or areas where standard explosion venting cannot be safely employed. For these applications, the IEP Technologies EVN3.0 flameless explosion vent may be the best protection solution. When an explosion occurs, the EVN3.0 opens and vents the explosion pressure through a flame arrester, thereby cooling the hot gases and quenching the flame. The EVN3.0 integrated opening detection sensor provides an interface with the process control system and allows plant personnel to respond accordingly in case of an explosion within the protected application. The IEP Technologies EVN3.0 flameless vent is self-closing which can reduce “post-event” downtimes. Also available is the EVN3.0H which includes a food grade silicone gasket. Both the EVN3.0 and EVN3.0H are available in a latching model, EVN3.0NC. The EVN3.0NC opens and latches until manually released and can be used in conjuction with isolation flap valves which have been tested to EN16447 – “Alternate testing procedure”.

Magnetische Erdungsklammer

Earth-Rite® II RTR
When an ungrounded tank truck is being filled/emptied with a liquid or powder, the road tanker could accumulate enough static to pose a discharge risk. To counteract this risk, it is important to ensure that the tank truck does not have the capacity to accumulate static electricity. The most practical and comprehensive way of achieving this is to make sure that the tank truck is at earth potential, especially before the transfer process starts.
