Pull Rope Switches
Kiepe Pull Rope Switches provide a switching system to isolate the power to conveyor systems and other process equipment in event of emergency. The devices have been designed for a maximum of safe operation under severe conditions. Kiepe Pull Rope Switches and accessories meet the requirements of international safety standards with respect to personnal safety and equipment.
Misalignment Switches
Kiepe Conveyor Belt Misalignment Switches are used in conveyor installations for monitoring the true running of conveyor belts. The switches, when mounted at the running edges of a conveyor belt, will be operated if the belt deviates from it's designed running line by more than a permissible distance. The switches will then stop the conveyor drive, avoiding spillage of material or damage the plant.
Robust Limit Switches
There are many limit switches and sensors on the market, but only a few of them are designed for use under harsh conditions. Mechanical limit switches are used for position monitoring of flexible machine parts. Kiepe Limit Switches are force-fit, electromechanic switches with positive breaking contacts in solid, robust design. They are available in various enclosure variants and with different actuating Levers. Devices, which are approved for use in hazardous areas with explosive atmosphere, can be found in the folder "EX Limit Switches", except for underground mining applications.
Speed Monitoring
The conveyor belt speed is a significant process parameter for control and monitoring of conveyor belts. The range of Kiepe speed monitoring devices comprises units for electronic speed monitoring and speed monitors for direct coupling, as well as accessories in robust design. The compact, robust Kiepe devices for speed monitoring are used as pulse transducers and standstill, sense of direction, and speed monitors. They are actuated by switching of contacts or transmission of electronic impulses when the actual speed is under or above the preset values.
Monitoring of Bucket Elevators
In conveyor systems with belt bucket elevators, material overflow or malfunctions may cause belt misalignment and major damage. Kiepe bucket elevator monitoring devices are used to detect and switch off misaligned belt bucket elevators. Depending on the model, the inductive devices detect steel, stainless steel, or aluminum buckets at specified sensing distances.
