Products
LiquiCoreTM-high-temperature screw heat exchanger
The LiquiCore™ high-temperature screw heat exchanger enables precise and efficient thermal treatment of bulk materials in the temperature range from around 230 °C to 600 °C. The system opens up applications such as pyrolysis, calcination, high-temperature drying, and thermal activation of solids, thereby significantly expanding the possibilities of conventional screw heat exchangers. In terms of design, LiquiCore™ is different from conventional systems in terms of a newly developed screw shaft, which contains electrical heating elements embedded in a hermetically sealed core of low-melting metal. Once this metal is liquefied, it takes over heat distribution and, due to its very high thermal conductivity, ensures fast, even, and efficient heat transfer over the entire shaft length. Optionally, the trough jacket can also be electrically heated to increase the heat capacity. Since the system is fully electric, there is no need for heat transfer fluids such as thermal oil or the associated infrastructure of heaters, pumps, and pipework. This reduces system complexity and maintenance requirements, as there are no leaks or fluid age effects. At the same time, electric operation enables precise temperature control and fast response times. The design is customized to each individual process requirement. The system uses heat-resistant stainless steels and special alloys, process-optimized screw geometries, and integrated control and regulation technology. This ensures safe, reproducible, and homogeneous high-temperature process control. LiquiCore™ thus offers a compact, robust, and powerful solution for demanding thermal processes in the chemical industry, recycling, raw material processing, and specialized high-temperature applications.
Screw-Heat-Exchanger
KÖLLEMANN Screw-Heat-Exchangers have their field of application within the thermal treatment of bulk-solids, we offer specialized products for each particular field of application. KÖLLEMANN Screw-Heat-Exchangers cover the whole spectrum of process-technology, starting with cooling of bulk-solids like for e.g. bed-ashes from drying of sludges or pastures up to heating of for e.g. petcoke for the anode-lines of the aluminium-industry. Based on their design, KÖLLEMANN Screw-Heat-Exchangers differ significantly from the usual on the market available ones, as they use the proven Hollow-Flight-Principle, which unifies serveral advantages within: an significantly enhanced heat-exchanging surface, leading lower thermal-stress on the screw-flight – especially during cooling-applications as well as forced heat-transfer-medium guidance inside the shaft. The temperature range of the KÖLLEMANN Screw-Heat-Exchangers reaches from colling down from 1200°C up to heating to more than 200°C with heat-transfer-medium temperatures above 350°C. KÖLLEMANN produces the Screw-Heat-Exchangers in accordance with standards such as AD2000 or ASME BPVC Sec.8 div.1 to ensure an maximum of safety during the handling of the heat-transfer-medium. Screw-Conveyors
KÖLLEMANN Screw-Conveyors have their field of application within the conveying of dusty, grainy and free flowing bulk-solids. They exploit their strengths with well flowing bulk-solids like sand, cement, granulate, ashes etc., but also face tough tasks like explosive, abrasive or adhesive bulk-solids. We will support you in any way in solving your conveying-problems. With our ingenious engineering as well as our rich experience, KÖLLEMANN Screw-Conveyors are suitable even for products which under normal circumstances would not be conveyable with screw-conveyors – this is ensured by means of our well-proven KÖLLEMANN Self-Cleaning-System.
Mixing-Screws
KÖLLEMANN Mixing-Screws have their field of application within the mixing of dusty, grainy and free flowing bulk-solids. With their very high mixing- intensity, the KÖLLEMANN Mixing-Screws can even stir injected fluids like sodium-silicate, acids and leach or other additives in a process-reliable quality into the bulk-solid. Many of the applications require an abrasion-protection to ensure that the service-life of the products will stay on the familiar high level. To ensure this, different methods have been proven by decades of usage, such as hardfacing, self-shielding by means of forced sedimentation as well as a full surface rubber-coating. To embrace the requirements for volume-flow and mixing-behavior, our portfolio offers layouts in multi-shaft-design. Since adjustable mixing quality is required in some circumstances, our Mixing-Screws are equipped with optional adjustable mixing-blades.
Rotary-Valves
For dosing, sealing, feeding, discharging as well as measuring of bulk-solids. They are used for a broad range of bulk-solids like ashes, coal, cement, sewage-slurry, plastics, crystalline acids, methyl cellulose, carbon black or any other products in dusty or grainy condition. Standard Rotary-Valves work on the principle of volumetric-transport. The bulk solids are falling from the Inlet section into the mostly star shaped chambers by force of gravity. While the rotor is turning, a determined volume of the bulk-solid is moved towards the outlet. Based upon the fixed geometry of the rotors chambers, the conveyed volume is well defined. Our product-range provides various options, designs and materials. We offer a standard-product made from cast-iron, where all parameters which are not related to the housing can be configurated to match your bulk solids characteristics. Over and above we produce Rotary-Valves as a weld-construction, which are available in all customary materials. We provide plenty of options and extra equipment to perfectly serve all of your requirements, which arise from the conditions of your bulk-solid. As a result of our long-term development, we are able to provide standard Rotary-Valves for cement and rough materials in welded-design in highest quality with short delivery times and at an exceedingly competitive price. Our sizing ranges from 80mm – 2300mm rotor-diameter.
Self-Cleaning-System
The KÖLLEMANN Self-Cleaning-System is used to convey any material considered as not conveyable with screw-conveyors, it uses the high lateral speeds between the two shafts which are turning in the same direction. In order to increase this effect even further, we have put our excessive know-how into this development in order to achieve that one of the shafts is running with twice the speed as the first one rotates. With this unique system, the KÖLLEMANN Screw-Heat-Exchangers are able to convey sticky and adhesive material in a condition like cold petroleum jelly. Due to the high cleaning efficiency, the whole system operates with lowest residues on the shafts and enables an optimum heat-transport.
