Our BrazeCoat process enables the production of wear-resistant coatings to protect surfaces of highly stressed components. This way, extremely hard composite layers are produced by brazing under an inert gas atmosphere, which contain up to 70 percent fine-grained carbide particles by volume, integrated in a metallic matrix.

Grind tools for whirlpool mill with BrazeCoat™ Mat
The turbulent flow of particles in the mill leads to a load on the impact surfaces of the U-shaped grinding tool. A targeted BC-M coating with WC of the surfaces to be stressed increases the service life of the grinding tools, which means that maintenance times can be significantly reduced.
Wear protection of pump impellers using BrazeCoat™ Suspension
Cast iron pump impellers are subject to severe wear when the medium contains abrasive solids. The progressive loss of material leads to a reduction in the efficiency of the pump and a shortened service life. A high-carbide BrazeCoat™ can significantly increase the service life of the pump.
Wear-resistant mixer blade and scraper
With the BrazeCoat-M process, 1.5 - 2.5 mm hard-faced layers are created, which consist of carbides and a nickel solder matrix. The BC-M coating has a high hardness of 850-1180 HV or very high wear resistance due to the chromium-tungsten carbide and has a high corrosion resistance due to the nickel-based solder matrix. The coating surface and the layer thickness can be specifically designed according to the direction of wear and the intensity of the stress.

Highly corrosion-resistant pump shaft
The pump shafts are exposed to strong corrosive media, whereby the stainless steel component is attacked. Our high-chromium BC-S coating protects the surface against corrosive attack and thereby increases the service life of the pump shaft.

BrazeCoat™-Suspension coated fly cutters for mixing and milling plants
The rotational speeds of fly knives are extremely high, and the wear rate of fly knives increases drastically. At high speeds, our BrazeCoat™ protects the impact edges of the knives from abrasive media

Granulator plate mit BrazeCoat™ mat
In the production of plastic granules, our BC-M coating with WC shows very good wear resistance. The big advantage is a continuous, even hard material coating that does not flake off during use.

Particle size control through wear-resistant perforated screens
When screening abrasive materials, the perforated screens are subjected to high stresses, with the hole width increasing and the sheet thickness reducing. This leads to both a loss of particle size control and reduced screen life. The BrazeCoat™ protects the perforated screens from wear and extends their service life.

Sharp-edged and wear-resistant conveyor belt scraper
Our BC-M coating can be used successfully for applications as a conveyor belt scraper on heavily adherent materials. The cost advantage over HM segments is that we use a continuous hard material rail over the entire length of the scraper during preparation.

Roller arm for shredders with BrazeCoat™-Suspension
The advantage of our BC-S coating for the roller arms is that the surfaces of the arms can be completely coated on all sides. Thanks to this type of coating, the component shows little distortion. The application is particularly suitable for abrasive media.
