MIXACO Dr. Herfeld GmbH & Co. KG is one of the leading manufacturers of mixer systems worldwide for most various applications and industries with more than 50 years of experience in mixing. As a completely independent, family-managed company located in Neuenrade, Germany, we can fully concentrate on our core competence, i.e. development and production of industrial mixer systems. In addition to customer-specific mixer solutions, we also offer a range of standard products for universal mixing processes.
In many industries, such as, powder coating, masterbatch, compounding and plastics industry as well as PVC/WPC, rubber, chemical and food industry etc. we represent an acknowledged technology leader and we have also sustainably revolutionized the mixer technology with our innovated container mixer technology. More than 7,500 MIXACO mixers of the highest “made in Germany” quality ensure the optimum efficiency in production processes of our customers.

Sack and drum mixer Speedy™
The basic principle of the MIXACO sack and drum mixer Speedy™ is the mixing of small batches directly in sacks or drums. The product remains in its original container throughout the entire workflow—from filling and mixing to conveying and discharging—thereby significantly reducing costly, time-consuming cleaning times. Heating Mixer With Horizontal Cooling Mixer
The combination with a horizontal cooling mixer is the perfect solution for high-performance applications requiring larger throughput volumes. High-performance cooling with three cooling zones enables particularly gentle mixing and efficient cooling of the material. A multi-stage mixing tool in the heating mixer heats the product and distributes all recipe ingredients and materials evenly throughout the mixture. When the desired target temperature has been reached, the mixture is transferred to the cooling mixer through the discharge port and the heating mixer is ready for the next batch. The specifically configured water circulation system in the horizontal cooling mixer ensures the best possible cooling performance in the three cooling zones. Besides the relatively large cooling area, the optimum water circulation speed is another factor with a decisive influence on the machine’s overall effectiveness. After use, access to the container for cleaning is fast and easy via the mixer lid with motorized lifting mechanism. Heating Mixer With Vertical Cooling Mixer
The vertical cooling mixer is an economical, robust solution for throughput volumes up to 2,500 kg/h. A high-performance multi-stage mixing tool in the heating mixer generates friction to heat the product. At the same time, all recipe ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the mixture. When the desired target temperature has been reached, the mixture is transferred to the cooling mixer through the discharge port and the heating mixer is ready for the next batch. The material is cooled in the vertical cooling mixer by passing it gently across a cooled surface several times. An optimum cooling performance is achieved through targeted water circulation in the mixer floor and sidewall. The cooled mixture can then be emptied rapidly via the dead-space free discharge port. Universal Mixer vertical
The high-performance MIXACO universal mixer is ideal for many different applications. Whether slow, gentle homogenization or thorough mixing is required, consistently high quality is guaranteed for every mixing process. In particular, the universal mixer’s highly flexible design possibilities enable it to be adapted easily to suit the required mixing task and individual on-site requirements. High Intensity Mixer
The MIXACO high intensity mixer is the optimum tool for flexible mixing. Wherever materials need to be prepared using heat or shear forces, this solution delivers rapid results and superlative mixing quality. The mixer is also ideal for melting free-flowing granulates. A high friction rate is achieved by circumferential speeds of 15-40 m/s, resulting in intensive heating of the product. The required power input can be regulated flexibly. Universal Mixer Horizontal Revolution™
MIXACO Revolution™ is mixing system that functions without tools. Gentle mixing of materials during rotation of the container is achieved with built-in mixing segments. This technology without driven mixing tools prevents additional thermal stress for the product. Laboratory Container Mixer
The MIXACO laboratory container mixer is ideal for mixing the small quantities typically required for product development or the monitoring of industrial production. Despite its compact dimensions, this model offers all the advantages of a large container mixer. The container has a volume of 6 or 12 liters, so transport is particularly easy in a laboratory environment. MIXACO Charging station
The MIXACO charging station is used for dust free filling of the mixing container with raw materials. In conjunction with a bottom weighing scale or dosing systems, a fully automatic, a semi-automatic or manual charging of the container can be carried out

Discharge station (type platform)
The discharge station, which is built into an existing on-site steel structure, is used for dust-free emptying of the mixture into the downstream processing equipment. The container is placed onto the discharge station using a lifting device (crane or forklift). Options: The following options are available for the automation of the discharge station: - Pneumatic or electrical control - Pneumatic rotary cylinder for opening/closing thecontainer valve with adjustable opening angle - Knocker to assist with emptying of materials with poor flow characteristics - Product sensor for monitoring product in the discharge pipe - Interchangeable discharge pipe for faster turnaround times for color/formulation changes - External control of discharge station

Discharge station (type guide fork)
The discharge station is used for dust-free emptying of the mixture into downstream processing equipment. The portable container is pushed into the discharge station and clamped. The discharge pipe flange is lifted to the container outlet via pneumatic cylinders. Options: The following options are available for the automation of the discharge station: - Pneumatic or electrical control - Pneumatic rotary cylinder for opening/closing thecontainer valve with adjustable opening angle - Knocker to assist with emptying of materials with poor flow characteristics - Product sensor for monitoring product in the discharge pipe - Interchangeable discharge pipe for faster turnaround times for color/formulation changes - External control of discharge station

MIXACO Container-Mover
The container mover allows mixing containers to be transported quickly and easily. The mover is moved backward and forward by a high-performance electric drive. The mover can be used with all container sizes, from CM 300 to CM 2000. The battery charger is included in the scope of delivery. STEEL DRUM SPEEDY D 200
A mixing drum (200 liter standard steel drum) filled with raw materials or pre-mixes is fixed centrally beneath the mixer head. The simple positioning of the 200 liter steel drum is carried out using an integrated roller conveyor. Once the steel drum has been manually positioned, the steel drum is held securely in place by pneumatic clamps. The mixing tools are tailored to meet the mixing challenge. The mixing tool is lowered into the mixing material using a spindle lift drive. Mixing parameters can be stored in the PLC. The product is homogeneous blended by the gentle mix action of the spiral tool. The mixing tool is moved back into the basic position and the mixing drum can be removed after mixing has been completed. Laboratory Heating Mixer Lab HM
The Lab HM modular laboratory mixer from MIXACO is the latest innovation for use in your laboratory. The wide range of applications and easy handling make it the most flexible mixer solution for your laboratory. It is a high-standardised all-in-one solution and revolutionizes the entire laboratory work. The mixer base contains a high-performance motor that ensures the optimum peripheral speed and the corresponding torque for all sizes.
