Infrared Early Fire Detection – PYROsmart® & PYROspy®
PYROsmart® detects fire hazards early! PYROsmart® intelligent IR early fire detection uses different types of sensors depending on the version. A high-resolution infrared camera (“thermal imaging camera”) operates in the PYROsmart® pro in combination with a video camera and a specially developed pan/tilt system. This enables large areas to undergo continuous scanning and high-resolution panoramic thermal imaging to be produced using our patented process. Thermal imaging of the entire monitoring area is clearly displayed in a panoramic view. The panoramic view can also be described as “temperature mapping” of the entire detection area. PYROsmart®’s special features include intelligent algorithms that can differentiate between, for example, a hot exhaust pipe, which quickly reaches a temperature of 450°C, and a possible fire source of only 85°C. This key feature saves time in the process of fire detection. It ultimately ensures prevention of fires that can lead to major damage to property and personal injury, loss of production, and even the total loss of a business. When a critical temperature is detected, its location can be pinpointed immediately and accurately. This is yet another key advantage over all other types of detector equipment. Precisely locating potential fire hazards is possible because PYROsmart® understands the monitored area’s exact space geometry. No extra sensors are required to do this.
PYROsmart® one
Infrared early fire detection for small areas and conveyor Systems PYROsmart® one is the system of choice for infrared temperature monitoring of objects that can be viewed at a fixed distance and within a fixed image section. Examples of such objects are small areas, systems and transfer points on conveyor belts. The unit uses a fixed-focus, high-resolution infrared camera for detection, with the angle of view optimally matched to the application by using different lenses. PYROsmart® one is VdS certified and FM Approved! Conventional fire detectors, e.g., smoke and heat detectors, only respond to the effects of a fire (smoke, heat). Sprinkler systems then extinguish large areas without pinpoint accuracy. PYROsmart®, on the other hand, promptly detects thermal signatures and hotspots and can instigate precision cooling and/or extinguishing. Because infrared radiation penetrates dust and smoke, the system also works reliably in such environments. Belt monitoring Temperature monitoring of free-falling material and belt transfer points provides significant benefits. At these points, material gets turned over and comes into contact with oxygen. Any hotspots here can therefore become particularly warm/hot. If they had previously been concealed by overlying material, they will also only be detected here. PYROsmart® one protects against fires breaking out by quickly detecting any hot materials and hotspots entering the plant and thereby preventing fires from happening.
Automatic Extinguishing with PYROsmart® & PYROspy®
PYROsmart® controls fire-monitor extinguishers from all major manufacturers The PYROsmart® system’s original function is the ability to detect dangerous temperatures at an early stage and to localize hotspots. But when it is certain that a fire is about to start, it makes sense to immediately start preventative measures – cooling down the hotspot. This is precisely the concept behind PYROsmart®. The time saved before a possible fire starts can be used for direct and targeted cooling and/or triggering extinguishing systems. The proprietary, practice-proven PYROsmart® extinguishing software communicates with fire-monitor extinguishers from all major manufacturers and controls targeted extinguishing in the event of an alarm – dynamically adapted and fully automated. Because PYROsmart® extinguishing software knows the 3D geometry of the area, it can precisely aim electronically controlled fire-monitor extinguishers at the target location within seconds. The extinguishing software automatically calculates the size of the extinguishing window and all necessary parameters. This cools hotspots with pinpoint accuracy and/or extinguishes developing fires at an early stage to avoid collateral damage.
PYROspy® with 360° all-round viewing
Infrared early fire detection with 360° all-round viewing and targeted extinguishing PYROspy® is an all-in-one infrared early fire detection system with innovative 360° all-round vision that extinguishes fires before they escalate into dangerous blazes. PYROspy® is FM Approved! Conventional fire alarm systems only detect fires at more advanced stages (e.g. with the presence of smoke/flames), but the PYROspy® series of infrared fire detectors can detect fires earlier. They “see” excessively hot material surface temperatures long before smoke or flames appear. If a potential fire source is detected at an early stage, immediate measures can be taken, i.e., the targeted automatic cooling of a hotspot. PYROspy® eco is mainly suited to monitoring small storage facilities. The maintenance-free rotation system has been tried and tested over many years and enables 360° monitoring in just 20 seconds. - Cost-effective entry into IR early fire detection scanning. - Equipped for operating fire monitors and water-mist turbines. - 10-year warranty on mechanical parts / drive electronics. PYROspy® is based on 30 years of experience in applied infrared technology and early fire detection. Our patented abiroVision software uses a range of features and intelligent, secure algorithms to detect and exclude non-hazardous hotspots with a high degree of reliability. Alarms are then only triggered if there is a real reason for them.
PYROsmart® pro
PYROsmart® has already proven its worth in many industries for providing the earliest possible detection of fire hazards. PYROsmart® pro uses state-of-the-art infrared and video cameras to continuously scan large areas and objects, measure temperatures and create continuous panoramic thermal imaging. PYROsmart® pro is VdS certified and FM Approved! Potential fire hazards can then be detected as they develop and before a fire starts. When critical temperatures are detected, the system locates the hotspot, triggers an alarm and reports it to a fire alarm control panel. Automatic precision cooling and/or targeted extinguishing of the hotspot is also optionally available. PYROsmart® pro is a pan/tilt system to enable monitoring of much larger areas than fixed systems are capable of. In the event of an alarm, the PYROsmart® extinguishing software controls targeted extinguishing via fire-monitor extinguishers from all major manufacturers – dynamically adaptable and automated. Hotspots can then be cooled with pinpoint accuracy before fires start, and early-stage fires can be quickly extinguished and collateral damage prevented. Unaffected areas remain protected and operational interruptions are minimized.
