About us
Timm Technology GmbH (called TIMM), located in the Northern Part of Germany, is a specialized developer and producer of explosion-proof
electronic measurement and control devices. Since 1963, TIMM‘s monitored grounding solutions have been safeguarding operating facilities around the world.
Prevalent application areas of TIMM devices are the petrochemical and chemical industry. Our products provide safe loading and unloading of inflammable liquids and solids as well as qualified access control to hazardous areas.
TIMMs product range includes grounding control devices (e.g. for tank trucks, railcars, drums, FIBC), overfill prevention systems (acc. to EN 13922), marine grounding systems (in acc. with ISGOTT / ISGINTT) and access control.
TIMM‘s specially developed Intelligent Explosion Protection Concept (IEPC) enables you to put TIMM devices into operation and also maintain them very easily in hazardous areas.

Grounding Control Device EKX-4
For use during loading and unloading of tank trucks, silo trucks, aircraft refuelers and rail tank cars. APPLICATION: • Ensures safe grounding before and during the loading operation • For use in gas and dust hazardous areas of zone 1 (equipment category II 2 G) and 21 (II 2 D) • Controlled derivation of the static electricity • Immediate interruption of the loading operation when unsafe grounding connection consists • According to all currently relevant EMC- and ATEX-standards • Highest functional safety according to EN 61508 / SIL 2 (Hardware-Assessment)
Grounding Controle Device EKX-4 (2-pole)
Especially developed for use in the chemical and food industry. Grounding Control Device EKX-FIBC
For safe grounding of Big Bags / FIBC Type C. APPLICATION: • Mounted stationary at filling and unloading stations for FIBC • In industrial filling processes with combustible materials in particle form • ATEX approval (zone 1/2 and 21/22) • Controlled discharge of static electricity • Immediate interruption of the filling process when unsafe earth connection occurs • Complies with all currently valid standards for the EMC and ATEX directive
TIMM Bite
Simple Grounding Solution with a bite. - Applications: Medium to small sized drums, barrels, containers, canisters, buckets, oil cans, filling funnels, small plant components - Handy all-round solution for electrostatic grounding in rough work environments - Easily handling with bare hands or thick work gloves - Extra hardened teeth to penetrate even thin coating and product deposits - Strong pliers spring ensures best biting force - Protection of teeth against wear and tear when not in use - Integrated strain relief prevents the cable from being torn off from the clamp during work
