From the filter element to the filter system for dry dedusting
As a family-owned enterprise, ts-systemfilter gmbh has specialized in the customer-oriented engineering of filter systems for air purification with long service lives. The dedusting systems are assembled quickly and economically using the modular system, that has proven for 45 years. The products for separating the bulk material from the carrier gas ensure clean process air worldwide. We operate worldwide directly from our company location in Baden-Württemberg or via our internationally established business partners.
Our filters separate bulk materials from the carrier gas from all industrial sectors, such as the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, paint, plastics, metal and building material industries, up to operating temperatures of approx. 250°C. The filter units are used for air volumes up to 14.000 m³/h. The residual dust content can be below 0.5 mg/m³. HEPA-filters complete the production portfolio. The design of the filter apparatus depends on the intended use and the installation site of the filter. Housings with diameters of 0.2 to 1 meter can be selected from the standard range. Larger diameters and angular designs are also available. For dust Ex-zone 20 and gas Ex-zone 0, certified devices with and without pressure relief on the clean gas side are available, as well as certified components for food contact. In our own star filter production, any filter media can be processed into cartridges in a wide variety of shapes.
Our customers particularly appreciate the many years of trustful cooperation and the modular product range. It enables individual adaption of the filter apparatus to almost all customer requirements.

Dedusting filter with cartridge filters (star filters) or hose filters
The modular system of ts-systemfilter makes it easy to find the suitable filter apparatus for your application. The system is variable and can thus be adapted individually. Special designs, individual pieces and small series of all kinds can be made to sample or drawing. Also modifications to existing filter systems are possible. To regenerate the filter area jet cleaning by time mode or by differential pressure control as well as cleaning by the shaker motor is possible. Extension systems such as weather covers and sound absorber hoods, fans and rotary valves or various dust pots are also available. Additional safety components such as a signal tower for optical differential pressure display, pressure relief on the clean gas side, bursting device, pressure compensation valve or safety filter are also possible. The filter apparatus make a significant contribution to sustainability. As example, replaceable support tubes are used to fix the filter cartridges. Mini filters are regenerable and can be used as particulate filters
Our mini filters are the solution to your problem. They are used, for example, to filter the displacement air of a differential dosing scale. There is often little space for a dedusting filter here. However, the displaced air must be able to escape unimpeded and filtered so that a correct weighing result can be delivered. Our mini filters allow the process air to escape without any problems. The filter element is regenerated from time to time by compressed air pulses. The mini filters are compact in design and can be inserted into a container with the filter cartridge or attached with an extra pipe. A small integrated valve tank supplies the filter with compressed air, allowing the filter cartridge to be continuously regenerated. For filtering suspended solids, a polyester filter medium of filter class H13 can be selected. Naturally, it is conductive and suitable for use in explosive atmospheres. The mini filters are attached using a clamp connection, allowing the filter cartridge to be replaced without tools. Two sizes are available: The filter module with a diameter of 160 mm and a housing height of 130 mm including the solenoid valve is attached with a DN125 Tri Clamp® connection. The two-way-filter with a diameter of 100 mm and a housing height of 160 mm including solenoid valve is attached with a DN65 Tri Clamp® connection. The mini filters are designed for pressures up to 12 bar and are suitable for use as pressure shock-resistant protection in potentially explosive areas of dust zone 20 with a suitable clamping connection. With our filter control unit, the solenoid valve can be controlled for the regeneration of the filter surface, and the pressure difference before and after the filter can be monitored. In highly sensitive areas such as the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, our minis can ensure maximum process safety as additional police filters. Optionally they are expandable by activated carbon (e. g. for filtering aromatics).

Regenerable HEPA-Filter: Filter module
Using regenerable filter cartridges with filter media of filter class H13, the residual dust level of the former HEPA filtration can be achieved with only one filter stage. Expensive process interruptions during the filter change of the second filter stage are thus a thing of the past. In particularly sensitive areas, such as the chemicals or pharmaceutical industries, the filter module can be used as plug-in or top filter. Depending on the application, it serves as the first or second filter stage. The filter module can be used for aspiration, for vent pneumatic conveyors, as a safety filter and for many other applications. The inflow of the filter surface takes place on the raw gas side from outside to inside. The contaminated star filter is pushed into a closed container like a pneumatic tube network. Thus, the star filter can be disposed of without contamination. The filter module can be used for the controlled explosion in a pressure-resistant housing. Filter elements: cartridge filters (star filters), hose filters
The in-house star filter production offers unlimited possibilities for pleat geometry and filter medium. One of ts-systemfillter patented inventions is the tubular star filter. The star filter is screwed into the filter plate complete with a reusable support tube. Sealing from the raw gas side to the clean gas side is achieved by end discs cast onto the star filter. Large maintenance openings in the filter housing on the raw gas side facilitate the replacement of the filter elements and prevent contamination of the clean gas side. A modified variation of the star filter is the multi-functional star filter »ts-x« with self-sealing plug-in connection. It can be installed from the dirty air side and from the clean air side. An additional support body is not necessary. The hose filter »ts-s« was developed for applications with particularly sticky bulk material. A patented vibrating spring serves as a supporting body. Remote signal module MSM-5 for silo safety device
Since June 2024, the new remote signal module MSM-5 will be available. Colourful LED displays show the status of the monitored silo components and additionally a segment display of the differential pressure in the filter apparatus. The remote signal module (MSM-5) is installed in the control panel. It indicates the differential pressure in the filter apparatus, provides messages about the filter operation and can monitor the silo for overpressure and overfilling as a silo safety device. For this purpose, a level indicator in the silo and a pinch valve in the delivery line must be installed on site. The MSM-5 is operated in conjunction with the SCD 10.12 filter control unit, which provides the power supply of 24 V DC. The filter control unit provides 5 different digital signals and a 4-20 mA signal corresponding to the differential pressure. There are 4 outputs, a digital pressure display and LEDs (green, yellow, red) for displaying the actual state. Even with external filters, it can be integrated into an existing system at any time.

Metal filter elements in lengths up to 900 mm
The modular system for our filter units is supplemented by metal filter elements. These are available in lengths of up to 900 mm. Existing systems can also be easily converted using the same screw thread in the filter plate. The metal elements are particularly suitable for high temperatures of up to 500 °C. They can be almost completely regenerated to their new state using a water bath or ultrasonic bath. The fineness of the filter fabric is adapted to the application. The metal fabric can be selected with a mesh size of up to 2 µm.

Star filter for high temperatures up to 160°C and optimum chemcial resistance
The ts-systemfilter star filters are manufactured in-house, so that an almost unlimited number of geometries are possible. The right filter medium is selected for each application. PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) is particularly suitable for high temperatures up to 160 °C. It is resistant to hydrolysis and has very good chemical resistance. It is also optionally available with a PTFE membrane. With this design, the support bandage is made from the filter medium and the end plates and the longitudinal seam are cast with silicone in order to achieve high temperature resistance.

One-piece star filters
As a rule, two-part star filters, where the support tube can be reused, are beneficial for our planet as they conserve resources. However, sometimes one-part star filters are also desired and are better suited for some applications. We have therefore expanded our portfolio of filter elements to include one-part star filters. These have a stainless steel end plate at the top and bottom and an integrated stainless steel support tube. The filter medium is firmly cast on both sides. Polyurethane or silicone is used depending on the requirements. The upper end plate has our standard thread and can be easily installed in existing systems. Standard lengths are 20, 40, 60 and 100 cm, but intermediate lengths can also be realized.
