The BFM® Compensator In pipework systems, it is often necessary to dampen oscillations and vibrations or to uncouple individual parts of a system. The BFM ® spigot is now available from JACOB with a 6 mm lip. This component allows users to optimally combine the modular BFM ® compensator, which consists of two spigots and one connector, with JACOB’s recognised pull-ring system. The connector is made from particularly resistant polyurethane and can be mounted without tools. The BFM® compensator meets the requirements of the CE 1935/2004 standard and the FDA, and is therefore suitable for use in the most demanding industries, such as the food, pharmaceutical or chemical industry. The magnetic separator The Magnetic Separator removes ferrous impurities quickly and easily from free-flowing bulk materials and exhaust air with low delivery pressure. It has a compact and sturdy build that comprises of several rod magnets in a protective stainless-steel casing. Depending on the diameter, up to nine neodymium rod magnets remove even the smallest ferrous particles from bulk materials and exhaust air. The JacBox Mobile flanging – flexible and simple. With the JacBox at your disposal, plant manufacturers now have a professional mobile solution that allows them to quickly and easily produce lipped ends on-site, and in JACOB quality. There is no need to retool the mobile flanging machine in order to work on different types of pipes. Pipes with diameters from 80 to 315 mm can be flanged without any problems. The permissible wall thickness is up to 2 mm for standard steel pipes, and up to 1.5 mm for stainless steel. The horizontal cyclone JACOB’s patented Horizontal Cyclone is a compact solution for separating particles that can be mounted in any pipework system. As a pre-filter, it cleans the air of dust particles, for example, and thus extends the life of filter systems. It can also be used to remove large, low-density particles, such as in the medical industry.

Initial situation: Massive wear leads to production downtime. The customer was faced with a severely worn rotary distributor that already had holes. In addition, the elevator discharge was unprotected, resulting in significant material leakage and a massive increase in cleaning efforts. Urgent action was needed to ensure continuous operation. The PUCEST protect installation team analyzed the situation on-site and developed a customized solution. First, the old, worn steel lining was carefully removed. The real innovation lay in the subsequent relining, which combined two different PUCEST materials: Surface wear protection: The main surfaces of the rotary distributor were lined with 10 mm thick PUCEST plates with a Shore hardness of 85. This material offers high elasticity and excellent abrasion resistance to minimize frictional wear. Protection of impact zones: PUCEST SZ plates were also used at the particularly exposed impact points where the material strikes at high speed. These plates are specially designed for areas with high mechanical stress and offer superior protection against impact and wear. The result: perfect material flow and a sustainable increase in efficiency. Thanks to professional installation and the use of combined PUCEST materials, the problems with the rotary distributor have now been completely resolved. Material no longer falls uncontrollably from the distributor, and the conveyor belt remains clean. The new lining not only ensures uninterrupted material flow but also significantly extends the service life of the rotary distributor.

With its compact dimensions, the new IT5 weighing indicator is designed for panel-mount installation. The new SysTec device is ideal for industrial weighing and control tasks. It convinces with intuitive operator prompting via TFT color touch screen and is also suitable for glove operation. All connections at the rear of the device are pluggable. The modular concept with 3 internal slots and a wide range of plug-in cards allows a variety of configurations. Thus, the IT5 is a space-saving weighing indicator suitable for various industrial applications. The IT5 also offers many options in terms of connectivity: In addition to the analog scale connection, Ethernet, USB, digital, serial, analog and fieldbus interfaces are available as options. Control of printers and remote displays is standard. Another benefit is the fast pulse counting input for the connection of incremental transducers; e.g. for measuring belt speed. In addition, simple PLC functions with digital and analog inputs/outputs are possible. Software The following application software is available for the IT5: ONLINE OP: IT5 ONLINE OP is a universally applicable weighing indicator with fieldbus interface. CONTROL/ONLINE: IT5 CONTROL/ONLINE is an industrial weighing indicator for use as W&M approved remotely controlled weighing terminal. The modular design and the configurability of the system enable a wide range of applications. The weighing indicator IT5 CONTROL/ONLINE is connected to a process computer via Ethernet. The selectable transfer protocols enable the data exchange with a host system. BELT: IT5 BELT is a weighing controller for capturing continuously the quantity of bulk material conveyed over a belt weigher (type approval as a legal-for-trade belt scale in preparation).

This marks the launch of MaintMaster Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) – a solution that transforms operator notes, shift logs and work orders into actionable insights. By combining AI with MaintMaster’s CMMS and OEE platforms, MI helps manufacturers reduce downtime, improve asset performance and accelerate continuous improvement.

Risse + Wilke, a leading manufacturer of cold-rolled strip, has optimized its work processes and strengthened cooperation between maintenance and production by using MaintMaster. A key element of this is the introduction of a knowledge database that facilitates knowledge transfer and helps to increase efficiency. In addition, spare parts management has been improved by integrating MaintMaster with SAP, which allows technicians to access spare parts information directly on site.
