The wear resistance and tensile strength of a chain depends largely on the quality of all its single components, an optimum combination of materials and the suitability of the materials for the application.
The drop-forged chain is made of special heat treated high alloy steel, standard case hardened to 58-62 HRc and standard hardening depth 0,8-1,0 mm. This provides the optimum forged link with a more resilient core for shock resistance and an extremely hard exterior surface for superior wear resistance.
