The temperature compensated sensors are directly bolted to the support member of the silo ( leg or skirts ...). The sensors measure the deflection caused by loading or unloading the silo and converts this into a proportional voltage signal. The instrumentation amplifies and display the signal directly in tons or kg. The result is a maintenance free inventory measurement based on weight.
