Forged Conveyor Chains
4B's drop forged chain is made of special heat treated high grade alloy steel, case hardened to Rockwell C57-62 with a ductile core hardness of Rockwell C40. 4B's superior heat treatment technique provides the optimum forged chain link with a more resilient ductile core for shock resistance, and an extremely hard exterior surface for superior wear resistance. We offer a range of drop forged chains, pins & conveyor chains.

Electronic Monitoring Equipment for Bucket Elevators & Conveyors
4B offers an extensive range of monitoring equipment and sensors for bucket elevators, belt and chain conveyors, screw conveyors and silos. We can offer you anything from a replacement sensor to a fully integrated hazard monitoring system which can be operated either as a stand-alone system or connected to your PLC.

Level Indicators
4B offer a variety of level indicators to detect high / low levels of bulk granular material in bins, tanks and silos. The range includes capacitance point level indicators, rotary paddle switches and capacitance proxy level / plug detectors. 4B level sensors can be connected to a PLC or to one of 4B’s hazard monitoring systems to provide alarm and/or shutdown of your machinery.

IE-NODE - Remote Sensor Monitoring for PLC's & Automation Systems
The Industrial Ethernet Node (IE-NODE) is a remote monitoring interface designed to provide sensor data to PLC’s or other automation and control systems. The units can be expanded to 16 sensor inputs with the installation of optional expansion boards. The IE-NODE operates by reading its sensor inputs and sending processed data when requested by another system (e.g. PLC). The units are equipped with an RJ45 Ethernet socket and supports PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP protocols for easy integration with Siemens, Allen-Bradley Rockwell, Modicon and other PLC’s or automation devices. The IE-NODE’s network configurator software provides a visual view of all devices on the network. It allows for easy identification of each unit on the network and allows for network settings to be changed as needed.

Milli-Temp 4-20 mA Bearing Temperature Sensor (EX)
4B's Milli-Temp, a loop powered analogue sensor with a 4-20 mA linear output that is scaled across a temperature range for continuous temperature monitoring - is now also available as an ATEX-certified version. The Milli-Temp series can be used on any application where bearing temperature monitoring is needed. The sensor has been designed to allow the depth of the probe to be adjustable depending on the application. This adjustability allows the tip of the probe to be placed in the optimal position for monitoring bearing temperature and also enables verification using the 4B ADB Tester. The sensor screws directly into the bearing housing using the threads of the existing grease zerk. The body of the Milli-Temp has an integrated zerk, allowing lubrication of the bearing without the need to remove the sensor. The sensors are supplied with a 3m cable. The connections are not polarity sensitive therefore special connection requirements are eliminated, and the cable can be extended in the field. Product Highlights • One Body Design - provides a 4-20 mA output provided directly from the sensor, eliminating the need for an external transmitter • Rated to -40 Degrees • Small Probe Diameter Allows Easy Grease Flow • Probe lengths 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm • Approved for explosive atmospheres: • ATEX and IECEx Zones 20, 21 & 22 for dust

IE-GuardFlex - Distributed Hazard Monitoring Solution (DHMS)
The IE-GuardFlex is the central control unit for 4B’s Distributed Hazard Monitoring Solution (DHMS). Using industrial Ethernet, it connects to and monitors multiple machine-mounted sensors via 4B's advanced IE-Nodes. The system supports multiple machines, IE-Nodes, and sensors, interfacing directly with the machine MCC to perform a controlled stop if a hazardous condition is detected. Typically located in the plant MCC and safe area, it connects via CAT6 Ethernet to IE-Nodes in hazardous areas. Common machines include bucket elevators, enclosed and open conveyors, chain conveyors, and roll stands. 4B sensors monitor conditions like belt slip, misalignment, bearing temperature, vibration, and blocked chutes. Engineers can start node searches using the intuitive 7” touchscreen GUI. Found nodes can be configured, and sensors allocated to machines. The system supports 3-stage ALARM/STOP configurations per sensor, with output relays for ALARM and/or STOP conditions per sensor or machine. Common ALARM and STOP relays indicate alarm or stop conditions on any sensor.

4B Encoder-Flex
The Encoder-Flex 1024 is a rotary shaft encoder that monitors slide gate position, shaft position, or shaft speed. Examples include position of rack and pinion gates, valves, distributors, and shaft speed on rotating shafts such as slow moving conveyors, mixers, and dryers. The Encoder-Flex 1024 uses innovative technology to monitor gate position or shaft speed. The resolution is programmable from 1-1024 pulses per revolution and it consists of 4-20 mA output as well as quadrature pulsed output for directional speed, and a Modbus RTU communications for advanced configuration and diagnostics. There are two status LEDs for easy identification of operational mode and target detection. The unit is quickly calibrated with the touch of a magnet for shaft speed, angular shaft position, or gate position. The sealed body is constructed from stainless steel.

4B Milli-Vib & Milli-Con
VIBMIL is a vibration sensor designed for continuous monitoring of vibration levels in industrial environments. It is current loop powered accelerometer and delivers accurate vibration RMS velocity using a 4-20 mA output. Built with a stainless-steel enclosure, including a 3/4” NPT thread for conduit connection. The VIBMIL can be supplied with optional inbuilt NTC or PT100 temperature sensors (Milli-Con version). The VIBMIL is equipped with female 1/4”-28 UNF female mounting thread, allowing the use of a screw, stud, or mounting stud to secure the sensor to the desired application. The sensor is supplied with a 1/4”-28 UNF set screw as standard. Optional converters to M8 and M6 male threads are available. To achieve maximum sensitivity, mount the sensor vertically along the Y-axis of the machinery. To ensure accurate readings and proper functioning of the VIBMIL, securely fix it to a level surface during installation. Implement the 2 wire, loop powered accelerometer into the desired control system and measure the linearised output from 4 – 20mA proportional to the sensors measuring range.
