AirVibe Vibratory Air Separator
The JOEST AirVibe is a high-performance sorting system for dry classification of coarse bulk materials up to 300 mm – ideal for demanding recycling processes. By combining cross-flow sifting and ballistic separation, materials are precisely separated by density, shape, and surface – even in heavily contaminated material streams. The three-stage system reliably separates heavy material, light material, and ultra-light material (e.g. foils or dust) into separate fractions. Thanks to its compact design, modular structure, and optional recirculating air operation, the AirVibe can be flexibly integrated into existing plants. Typical applications include municipal and commercial waste, construction debris, glass, or RDF. With throughput capacities of up to 15 t/h – especially for glass – the AirVibe offers a low-maintenance, space-saving, and economical solution for modern material stream separation, even without complex filter technology.

Non-Discharging Shakeout
The JOEST shakeout is specifically designed for the robust separation of molding sand and castings in foundry operations. It is used wherever molding boxes need to be emptied efficiently and sand lumps reliably broken down – particularly in large casting processes with high-mass cold box molding materials. Targeted vertical oscillations break up the mold block while castings remain on the grate. The system is engineered for extreme loads of up to 80 tons and can be customized as a single- or multi-part design to accommodate various spatial requirements. Isolation frames can be integrated to effectively isolate vibrations from the foundation, ensuring smooth and reliable operation even under heavy loads. With its wear-resistant construction, high mechanical strength, and modular design, JOEST’s shakeout technology is a proven solution for demanding foundry processes – efficient, low-maintenance, and built to last.

Charging feeder
Efficient and reliable furnace charging is a key factor in foundry technology. JOEST charging machines provide a robust, mobile solution for this demanding application. They enable the precise feeding of materials such as scrap, additives, or premixes into various types of furnaces – including induction, crucible, or rotary drum furnaces. Equipped with an integrated vibrating conveyor system and a noise-reducing sandwich construction, these machines ensure continuous, low-dust charging – with high availability and minimal maintenance requirements. Various chassis designs and power supply options allow for optimal adaptation to spatial conditions and process requirements.

Dosing Feeders

Dewatering Screens
JOEST dewatering screens were originally developed for sand dewatering, but are now used in almost all industries where bulk materials need to be specifically dewatered after washing or other wet processes. Whether in ore processing, the minerals industry, plastics or glass recycling – thanks to their robust design and versatile configuration options, these screens have established themselves as high‑performance, compact solutions for achieving very low residual moisture. The machines operate with linear motion generated by vibratory motors, exciters, or magnetic drives – depending on machine size and application. With an optimized throw angle and high acceleration, JOEST dewatering screens achieve extremely low residual moisture values, even with high throughput rates. Optional features such as fines hoppers, vibration monitoring, or hygienic designs enable precise integration into a wide variety of processes and industries.

Fluidized Bed Systems
JOEST fluidized bed systems are specialized solutions for the controlled drying, cooling, heating, and conditioning of bulk materials through convective heat transfer. Feeders

Depending on your specific requirements, different drive concepts are available: unbalance motors for high throughput, magnetic drives for precise metering, or resonance systems for energy-efficient long-distance conveying. Coarse Separator
JOEST Coarse Separators are specifically designed for the pre-classification of heavy bulk materials with predominantly large particle sizes. They are used in various industries – from raw material processing to recycling. Depending on the application, primarily linear vibrating screens are used; in special cases, circular vibrating screens are also applied. Whether solid grizzly bars, flexible rod decks, or perforated plates – the machines are precisely configured to match the material characteristics and separation cut. The different machine series such as GRIZZLY, Stabrofix, or Stabroflex are designed to withstand the most demanding conditions involving high mechanical loads and to ensure long service life. With proven drive technology, maintenance-friendly design, and a wide range of configuration options, JOEST Coarse Separators provide an ideal solution for pre-screening and relieving downstream crushers or other subsequent process steps.

Casting Cooler
The JOEST Casting Cooler is an energy-efficient conveying system for the controlled cooling of castings. It is based on a mass-compensated resonance trough with an eccentric shaft drive – without micro-throw motion – enabling uniform, low-noise material transportation with minimal foundation loads. Typically installed between the shakeout and sorting conveyors, the system stands out due to its modular design, robust steel construction, and ease of maintenance. Honeycomb-type dampers and optimized springs ensure stable operation under high loads – with low energy consumption and easy installation. An integrated counterflow heat exchanger ensures high thermal efficiency. Optional air humidification is available to increase cooling performance.

J-Flow Air Seperator
The JOEST J-Flow is a compact gravity separator with an internal air circulation system, specifically designed for the reliable separation of light fractions from free-flowing bulk materials. It is primarily used in metal recycling applications – such as ASR (Automotive Shredder Residue), SLF (Shredder Light Fraction), or SHF (Shredder Heavy Fraction) systems – and upstream of optical sorters, where it effectively removes contaminants like fluff, films, textiles, or foam materials, significantly improving the quality of downstream metal fractions. Thanks to its integrated airflow system and compact design, the J-Flow can also be easily retrofitted into existing plants. It operates efficiently with particle sizes between 10 mm and 120 mm, and is also capable of handling elongated parts up to approx. 300 mm. For optimal results, pre-sorting by grain size classes – e.g. 10–50 mm or 50–120 mm – is recommended.

Finger Cascade Screen TopSpin
The Finger Cascade Screen TopSpin has been specially developed for the pre-classification of difficult-to-screen products in recycling plants. It is used wherever conventional screening systems reach their limits – for example, with fibrous, elongated, or contaminated mixed fractions. The cascade steps ensure particularly effective product circulation, while the screen surface guarantees high throughput and clog-free screening. While fines are reliably screened out, elongated pieces are specifically discharged via the screen overflow. The system is based on a circular vibratory screen with shaft drive, achieving above-average acceleration values – ideal for materials such as ASR, shredder residues, RDF, MHW, or waste wood. In combination with optional features such as vibration monitoring, covers, or maintenance platforms, the TopSpin cascade screen offers a reliable and low-maintenance solution for demanding applications.

Air Cone Separators
The Air Cone Separator from JOEST reliably separates light fine material from heavy coarse material – even in complex material mixtures. It is based on a proven cross-flow separation method with an additional counter-flow separation zone for targeted post-separation of the light fraction. The system is highly versatile and can be used, for example, for alternative fuels, plastic granules, wood pellets, or recycling materials such as shredded used tires. Depending on the requirements, JOEST offers various designs – for particularly dust-intensive processes, high volume flows, or poorly free-flowing materials. Thanks to its compact design, high throughput capacity, and precise separation accuracy – even with fibrous or flat materials – the Air Cone Separator is a cost-effective solution for numerous industrial applications.

Small Screens
The JOEST small screen is a particularly compact version of a linear vibrating screen, specifically designed for fine and coarse screening of small material quantities. Equipped with JOEST’s proven JD dosing drives, the system is ideally suited for separating oversized particles, fines, or dust – for example, in plastic granulate processing, the food industry, or the chemical sector. Thanks to clamped screen troughs and a modular, easily accessible design, the small screen allows for especially quick and thorough cleaning – a clear advantage in applications with frequent product changes. The infinitely adjustable vibration amplitude is controlled via an integrated thyristor controller, allowing precise adaptation of the machine to the screening material.

Sand Attrition Unit
The JOEST Sand Attrition Unit is a powerful and compact solution for the reclamation of chemically bound molding and core sand. In use at numerous foundries worldwide, the system is typically installed in sand reclamation plants between the Shakeout and the Sand Cooler – exactly where efficient sand reclamation is essential. Thanks to its specially developed vibration mechanism, the Sand Attrition Unit reliably breaks down even strongly bonded sand agglomerates and makes a significant contribution to the quality and reusability of reclaimed sand. Its robust design, combined with maintenance-friendly features, makes it the ideal solution for demanding production environments with high throughput.

Circular Motion Screens
Circular motion screens from JOEST are proven screening machines for the pre-classification of free-flowing, medium- to coarse-grained bulk materials, for control screening, and for producing high-quality final products. The circular motion, combined with an individually adjustable inclination angle (typically 10° to 30°), allows for high throughput rates with consistently high separation accuracy – even under demanding operating conditions. Whether equipped with unbalance motors, shaft drives, or oil-lubricated exciter units, the machines are available in various drive configurations and can be fitted with up to five superimposed screen decks. Depending on the application requirements, different screening surfaces – such as perforated plates, PU decks, or wire mesh – can be selected to achieve the best screening results for the feed material. Ball Mill
The JOEST Ball Mill is a specialized grinding unit for the mechanical processing of metal-bearing dross, such as that generated during the aluminum, zinc or copper melting processes. The system enables efficient separation of metallic and oxidic components through targeted crushing and classification. The ball mill is designed for batch operation in standstill mode and is ideal for use in enclosed systems with dust extraction. Thanks to intelligent process control based on the particle concentration in the exhaust air, the grinding duration can be flexibly adjusted to the input material. This allows both high metal recovery and maximum oxide reduction depending on the processing objective. Linear Motion Screens
JOEST Linear motion screens are high-performance machines for pre-classification, control screening, or final classification of bulk materials ranging from fine to coarse particles. Thanks to their linear motion, they can be precisely adapted to the screening behavior of different materials – whether for uniform particle size distribution, high throughput, or demanding process conditions. The machines are available with various drive concepts – from magnetic drives and unbalanced motors to exciter drives – and come in different structural designs. JOEST linear motion screens are available in many versions – as single-deck or multi-deck units, in horizontal or inclined configurations, as well as multi-slope or banana screens. All designs are easily accessible and allow for efficient cleaning; optionally available with ATEX-compliant features. Thanks to their modular design, they can be used in almost all industrial sectors – from mining & minerals, stone and earth industries, and metal & glass recycling to food and chemical production.

MUCKI Lifting-Tipping Devices
The MUCKI Lifting-Tipping Devices from JOEST are versatile two-column systems designed for the automated and safe emptying of a wide range of containers – from small bins to large bulk containers. Their particularly robust design and optimized tipping kinematics ensure precise material transfer even with high load capacities. Combined with a modular design and adaptable container pick-up, they are ideally suited for use in a wide variety of processing environments – making them our perfect all-rounder. Optional features such as low-dust tipping or reduced drop heights allow the Lifting-Tipping Devices to be precisely tailored to specific requirements and material characteristics. MUCKI Lifting devices
Our MUCKI lifting devices are designed as single-column systems with electromechanical drives and offer a compact solution for the safe lifting, precise positioning, and controlled discharge of containers into a wide variety of process systems. Their robust design, modular configuration, and customizable container handling make them ideal for automated material flows. Thanks to the chain-driven lifting mechanism and optional features such as swiveling, rotating, or tilting, the system enables both simple height adjustments and complex transfer scenarios – for example to packaging lines, screens, dryers, or centrifuges. Typical applications include accurately reaching multiple positions, mixing container contents, or transferring product with minimal drop height.

MUCKI Tipping Devices
Our MUCKI tipping devices are directly driven systems designed for the safe and controlled emptying of containers at low to medium discharge heights. Thanks to their particularly robust design and modular construction, the tipping devices can be flexibly adapted to a wide range of process environments and container types. Whether used for feeding conveyors, packaging systems, belt conveyors, or shredders – these tipping devices provide a reliable and ergonomic solution for container handling. Intelligent options such as container clamping or side loading also allow for the seamless integration of demanding automation concepts.

OSCILLA Flip‑Flow Screen Family
When screening challenging, sticky, or inhomogeneous bulk materials, conventional screening machines often cannot meet the requirements. This is where the OSCILLA Flip‑Flow Screens from JOEST come into play: They operate with minimal risk of clogging, loosen the material, and enable efficient fines separation – even under the most demanding conditions. The systems are available in various configurations: from the classic Flip‑Flow Screen to the combined version with an additional conventional screen deck, and the specially developed Screen‑Feed Unit. Typical screen cuts range from 0.5 mm to 40 mm. With acceleration values of up to 50 g on the screen deck, engineered resonance drive technology, and flexible PU screen mats, OSCILLA screens deliver high separation accuracy with minimal maintenance – for example, through clog‑free operation, even with difficult products and high throughput rates.

Shakeout
The JOEST Shakeout is a high-performance solution for the automated separation of sand lumps and castings in foundry production. Especially in wet casting processes, it ensures reliable and gentle material processing – even under high temperatures and mechanical loads. Its modular design, robust construction, and precisely adjustable vibration parameters allow optimal adaptation to a wide variety of requirements. The use of high-quality materials such as manganese steel, individually configurable grate systems, and a low-vibration design ensures maximum operational safety while keeping noise levels low. Combined with automated control systems, energy-efficient drives, and ergonomic maintenance concepts, the shakeout becomes a key component of modern foundry operations.

Separation Table
The JOEST Separation Table is the ideal solution for separating dry, free-flowing bulk materials with particle sizes of up to approx. 20 mm. The system uses a fluidized bed in which the material behaves like a liquid under the combined action of air flow and vibration: heavy particles sink to the bottom, while light particles “float” on top – ensuring clean, reliable separation even for heterogeneous material streams. The Separation Table is suitable for a wide range of recycling applications, such as cable granulate, tire granulate, ASR or shredder fines, construction debris, or glass. It is particularly effective when combined with a preceding JOEST Air Separator, which removes ultra-light fractions (e.g. films, dust, or fluff) in advance – resulting in more stable fluidization conditions, higher throughput, and consistently precise separation quality.

Pre-Reclaiming Sand Attrition Unit
The JOEST Pre-Reclaiming Sand Attrition Unit is specifically designed for the granulometric preparation of chemically bonded molding and core sand. In foundries where larger sand lumps and blocks are frequently generated – for example, after shakeout of molding boxes or core packages – it ensures efficient pre-crushing. With its compact and robust design and proven vibration technology, this machine series delivers maximum operational reliability and process stability. Positioned between the shakeout grate and downstream lump breakers, the Pre-Reclaiming Sand Attrition Unit conditions the material to ensure continuous discharge and trouble-free downstream processing. Thanks to its modular adaptability and durable wear components, this solution makes a key contribution to quality assurance and cost reduction in sand reclamation.

Compaction table
The JOEST compaction table has been specially developed for demanding applications in the lost foam process. It enables complete compaction of binder-free molding sand – even in hard-to-reach, horizontal, and multi-angled cavities of complex patterns. Precisely controllable vibration in three spatial directions ensures targeted filling of all mold areas. The system features resonance-free start and stop behavior and particularly gentle handling of the product – ensuring consistently high mold quality with minimal scrap.

Spiral Crusher
JOEST Spiral Crushers are highly compact, multifunctional units designed for foundries using cold-resin bonded moulding sand. They offer a unique combination of shakeout, crushing, screening, and vertical conveying in a single machine. Thanks to their innovative design, Spiral Crushers combine several essential steps of the sand reclamation process – from shakeout of the moulding box and effective lump reduction to the conveying of reclaimed sand. Their strengths are particularly evident in space-constrained plant layouts: the vertical spiral path enables fine sand to be conveyed upwards within a minimal footprint – for example, directly to a sand cooler or magnetic separator.

Spiral Elevators
JOEST Spiral Elevators are the ideal solution for vertical conveying of bulk materials in confined spaces. The helical conveyor trough spirals around a central torsion tube, allowing for gentle and energy-efficient transport without the need for additional transfer points or conveying elements. Thermal processes can also be integrated directly into the system: Heated or cooled trough bottoms enable simultaneous conveying and temperature control in a single unit – saving space and reducing technical complexity. Various design options, such as dust- and gas-tight configurations, air- or fluid-cooled systems, and coated troughs, offer a wide range of process engineering applications. Each unit is custom-designed to meet specific conveying heights, diameters, heat transfer surfaces, and industry requirements. Zig Zag Air Separator
The JOEST Zig Zag Air Separator is a high-performance cascade separator for the separation of light and heavy fractions from dry, free-flowing bulk materials. It is based on the principle of multi-pass cross-flow separation, in which air is introduced from below into a zig-zag shaped channel. This allows light particles to be carried upward, while heavier components fall downward. Air routing can be configured as recirculation, partial recirculation, or suction mode. JOEST offers standard models, patented hybrid versions for fine particles, laboratory configurations, and custom solutions – ideal for applications in the recycling or food industries. The modular design enables tailored adjustments to various separation tasks.
