WeSort.AI GmbH
About us
WeSort.AI develops intelligent sorting systems that use artificial intelligence (AI) and state-of-the-art sensor technology to detect and automatically sort materials. This increases efficiency, material quality, and plant safety – in real time and without human intervention.
At the heart of our technology is an AI-based sensor module that analyzes visual data and precisely identifies materials. Whether paper, plastic, or metal – our systems reliably distinguish between material classes and even recognize complex mixed fractions.
With our Battery.Sort solution, we also offer a specialized solution for one of the most critical aspects of modern sorting plants: the detection and sorting of incorrectly disposed lithium-ion batteries and electronic devices. By combining AI-supported object recognition and X-ray sensors, the system identifies hazardous energy storage devices even when contaminated or hidden. This demonstrably reduces fire risks by up to 90% and ensures maximum operational safety.
The result: reliable detection, increased plant availability, and a measurable contribution to safety and sustainability in waste management. AI that redefines sorting.

Battery.Sort
Our Battery.Sort solution prevents fires caused by dangerous lithium-ion batteries in recycling plants – before they even start. The system uses X-ray technology and AI algorithms to precisely detect batteries, even if they are hidden inside electronic devices or buried under up to 50 cm of waste. It then safely removes them with compressed air. Objects weighing up to 9 kg can be easily sorted. Installed directly after the container opener or pre-shredder, it reliably protects facilities (e.g., for lightweight packaging, commercial waste, WEEE, or residual waste) from massive fire damage. Benefits: Increased safety, efficient raw material recovery such as lithium, and optimized processes for waste management companies.

WeSort.Cloud
The WeSort.Cloud is your central cockpit for the sorting plant – with real-time status, component monitoring, and complete sensor transparency. It displays detailed operating statistics: composition of waste streams, detected objects, plant runtimes, and throughput data – all live on a clear dashboard for plant technicians. Predictive maintenance detects failures in advance, minimizes downtime, and ensures maximum availability. In the future, even custom AI models can be trained to sort independently and tailored to specific applications. Benefits: Full process control, fewer breakdowns, and flexible adaptation – for efficient and future-proof waste management.

Vision.Insights
Vision.Insights transforms blind waste streams into controlled, optimized processes – through real-time analytics for increased throughput, quality, and availability. The AI-based sensor module with deep-learning object recognition is easily installed above the conveyor belt and detects materials with granular precision in real time. Interactive dashboards provide live monitoring of material flows, alerts for malfunctions or hazards, and data-driven analyses for process optimization and quality assurance. Benefits: Intelligent plant control, precise reports, and the foundation for new sorting applications – all seamlessly integrated.

Vision.Sort
Vision.Sort brings AI-powered vision intelligence with RGB cameras to waste sorting – smarter, more cost-effective, and full of potential. The system captures the waste stream in real time, recognizes virtually every object with granular precision thanks to AI deep learning, and sorts it precisely using compressed air or other sorting methods – flexibly for almost any desired fraction. From packaging and paper to commercial waste and electronic scrap. It minimizes manual labor, maximizes purity, and creates new value streams from what would otherwise be considered waste. Your benefits: cost savings, top recycling quality, and the freedom to sort virtually anything with AI in a customized way.
