      Isolate Explosions – Chemically or Mechanically. IEP Technologies Isolation Systems are designed to detect an incipient explosion and react to minimize the risk of the deflagration from traveling between interconnected equipment within your process. The Chemical Type isolation method discharges an explosion suppressant into pipeline/ductwork mitigating the passage of flame and burning materials to interconnected equipment. The Mechanical Type isolation method can be designed using either an “Active” product such as the IEP Technologies high speed knife valve or a “Passive” product such as our Flap Valve. Each of these provide a mechanical barrier which isolates the deflagration event.

The silo segments, which are prefabricated according to individual requirements, are delivered in sizes suitable for transport and assembly and welded on site. Individual assemblies have already been checked for accuracy during fitting and, if possible, preassembled. All silos are individually planned, statically proven, constructed and built.

Therefor we offer you our silos with support frames. Kurz Silosysteme can produce these silos up to a diameter of 6,200 mm. In addition to transport by truck, the silos are also shipped from a neighboring port by ship. Silo components such as filters, overfill protection, inspection facilities and discharge aids are also on offer. The scope of supply can be supplemented by mechanical or pneumatic systems for filling as well as emptying the silos. Of course, the silos are adapted or equipped according to the requirements. In order to minimize assembly times on site, the silos can be fully pre-installed at the factory. With the installation, the system is almost ready for operation.

      Our backflow protection offers maximum protection for your building - whether for rainwater or wastewater containing faecal matter (faecal water) Automatic opening: A natural pressure is exerted on the membrane of the backflow preventer by a build-up of water until the pipe is approximately full, which then opens upwards and allows the water to drain away. Secure closure: When the water flow stops, the sealing lip closes again and closes the valve. The valve is always closed in its basic position. Maximum protection against backflow: If a backflow occurs from the sewer, the rubber membrane fills due to the back pressure and is pressed firmly against the pipe wall. This effectively prevents water from entering the building. Additional benefit - Stops unpleasant sewer gases/radon: A major advantage of this design is the odor barrier. As the membrane closes tightly when not in use, gas movement from the sewer system is made impossible. This directly helps to prevent harmful or foul-smelling sewer gases or radon from escaping into the cellar or living spaces.

Whether the job involves material locks or compensators; weighing equipment or flexible silo inlets – our hot homogeneously vulcanised rubber sleeves allow you to create secure pipe joins, as well as extremely stable connections between rigid and vibrating tubes. And our inflatable collars ensure that industrial-scale filling and emptying operations are carried out hygienically and dust-free. Stricker sleeves guarantee a high quality join, without any thickening of the vulcanised seam. They also maintain all the elastomer properties, such as temperature resistance, tensile strength and elasticity. We manufacture our sleeves according to your wishes, be they cylindrical, conical or rectangular – and always in combination with individual care and attention and the competent advice of our technical team.

      Our flat-body and round-body valves will shut off powder and finely grained bulk materials up to a feed size of 20 mm. Wearing plates, sealing and supports are naturally exchangeable. The four-layer, all-round packing box stuffing guarantees a reliable dust seal to the outside. A special steel stripper protects the packing. If the system is operated at pressure above atmospheric and the actuation frequency > 20/h is high, kindly consult with us on the best solution. Our slide gates you can get pressure-shock-proof and ATEX-compliant, too.
