Q-Bic™
Plant components like silos, mills, filters, collectors, mixers or dryers, in which bulks are processed, conveyed or stored are hazardous areas where fine dust can be found in quantities. Explosion solutions are required when ignition sources cannot be reliably prevented. With use of the Q-Bic™ safety suppression system, the starting explosion is instantly detected by the redundant related detectors and the prompt blowing of dry powder within the endangered area extinguishes the flame. The explosion is extinguished at the point of ignition and cannot be discharged to the outside atmosphere. Q-Bic™ is especially suitable for applications with toxicants, which must not be released in case of explosion.

Q-Flap RX™
Isolation is a decisive component of an Explosion Safety concept. No matter how much operators invest into (flameless) relief - if an isolation is missing, an explosion can spread within the system, and continue to propagate from facility section to facility section. In the worst case, the blast wave will overtake the flames, and the explosion will turn into a detonation. If a sensible isolation is part of the system protection strategy, then there's no reason to worry about such horror scenarios any longer. The Q-Flap RX™ explosion isolation flap valve is a joint development between REMBE® and the Swiss company RICO. "A combination of German engineering and Swiss precision", that's how Dr.-Ing. Johannes Lottermann, Director for Explosion Safety at REMBE® describes the new product. The strict requirements of EN 16447 for the maximum safety and reliability are particularly achieved by the very high strength and extremely flexible installation distances - and all of this thanks to the patented swivel carriage principle. The Q-Flap RX™ is available for all common nominal pipe sizes up to DN 1250.

Q-Rohr Flameless Venting - The Original
Stay Qool – REMBE Q-Rohr Innovation is a tradition at REMBE. In the area of explosion safety, the invention of flameless venting solutions – the Q-Rohr and Q-Box – is probably the most important in the history of the company. We have continuously developed and improved these products since the 1980s and they are now in use worldwide. The Q-Rohr and Q-Box can be found in a whole range of sectors from the food processing industry to chemicals and pharmaceuticals. The advantages of flameless venting are immediately obvious: the entire production process remains inside the building and there is no need for expensive, bulky venting ducts that require modifications to be made to existing structures. The integrated explosion vent is fitted with a signalling unit that immediately reports any incidents to the process control system. The special stainless steel mesh filter inlet ensures that the pressure rise and increased noise level associated with free vented explosions are massively reduced to negligible levels in the production room. Dust and flames are retained by the mesh filter inlet. The Q-Rohr has a round design. Consequently, it is vacuum resistant and ideal for the protection of pneumatic conveying systems as well as many other applications. The Q-Rohr and Q-Box also compare favourably with active fire extinguishing systems. They generate no running costs, false triggering damages only the bursting disc and the product remains unaffected. No regular maintenance is required, an annual visual inspection is more than adequate. The products are certified by ATEX and also comply with many other currently relevant standards. New: The Q-Rohr can now also be used with metal dusts. Due to their extreme properties in explosive situations (e.g. temperatures can be twice as high as those with most other dusts), metal dusts create special challenges for protection systems. The Q-Rohr is the first system to be certified in accordance with DIN EN 16009.

QM "Swing roller bearings with solid housings"
Machines used in extreme environments require roller bearing housings that operate reliably and efficiently even under the toughest conditions. The spherical roller bearing housing units made of cast steel have been specially developed for demanding applications. The combination of robust cast steel housings and Timken high-performance spherical roller bearings provides effective protection against contamination, especially in conjunction with modern primary and secondary sealing systems. Optional steel covers provide an additional protective barrier against external influences and harsh environmental conditions. Thanks to the spherical roller bearings in solid housings, these units can be used reliably even with shaft misalignments of up to 1.5° without compromising the expected service life or operational reliability.

Quick-Fit (QF) Ball Joint
Misalignment issues, limited range of motion, and excessive wear and tear are just a few common issues manufactures can encounter with their CNC machines. Nordfab has thoroughly researched these issues and designed a new ducting component, Quick-Fit (QF) Ball Joint, that provides an effective solution to kinking and tearing in flexible duct, allowing more movement in the flexible duct hence improving the overall efficiency and performance rate. Enhanced Flexibility CNC machines require precise alignment to function correctly. Some CNC operations also require components to move in multiple directions. Traditional joints may restrict movement, but Nordfab’s Quick-Fit (QF) Ball Joint offers greater flexibility, enabling the machine to perform complex tasks more efficiently. Its swivel joints allow for movement between flex hose and duct along with a 360 degree stationary plane. This flexibility helps in achieving complex machining tasks with ease. It also helps in reducing wear and tear, extending the lifespan of the machinery. Nordfab’s Quick-Fit (QF) Ball Joint provides many benefits for CNC Routers and Machines with traversing heads: 1. Increased Angle Movement. Swivel joints allow for movement between flex hose and duct but along with a 360 degree stationary plane. 2. Low Friction. Nordfab’s Quick-Fit (QF) Ball Joint provides a reflectively low friction for periodic or constant spinning movement. 3. Easy Connection. The Quick-Fit (QF) Ball Joint can connect QF ducting or flex hose to allow the rotation of a dust or fume hood.

Radial shaft seals
Efficient sealing for rotating machine parts Radial shaft seals are essential components in the sealing of rotating machine elements such as shafts, hubs, or axles. They prevent the ingress of contaminants and ensure that no media such as oil, water, or lubricants escape. These seals are used in a wide range of industries, including drive technology, mechanical engineering, wind power, shipbuilding, and the agricultural and construction machinery industries. Our range of radial shaft seals includes different designs and materials, including the standard elastomer materials NBR (black), FKM (brown), and PTFE. We also offer a wide selection of spring and stiffening rings, which are available in various steel and stainless steel grades.

Radiometric Bulk Flow Measurement
Berthold‘s radiometric measuring systems monitor bulk flow and totalized mass in a non-contacting manner. They are used in many industries, such as mining, paper production, building materials and power as the measurement solution can be applied to all conveyor systems. Radiometry is often the only reliable method for determining flow rates. Our measuring systems are particularly suitable for monitoring loading processes, dosing and mixing processes, as well as production control. Capable of measuring the current conveying capacity, totalized mass (tonnage), and batch processes. The measurement can be carried out with any size of material, ranging from powders and granulates all the way to large lumps of rock and logs. The typical measuring range is between 100 kg/h and 1000 t/h. After a simple calibration, our systems operate with high precision for many years, with a reproducibility of ±1%. Fully non-contact – the measurement is uninfluenced by wind, vibrations, dust, dirt, fluctuating belt tension or fluctuating bulk densities. Retrofitting to existing conveyor systems is possible without any problems.
