EXKOP quench valve
Firstly, the tried and trusted EXKOP QV II is now also available for dust class 2 and a reduced explosion pressure (pred) of up to 2 bar. In addition, the launch of the EXKOP QV III, the new big brother of the QV II, means it is now possible to protect lines with diameters of between 300 and 600 mm. With an innovative, space-saving design, it can even be installed in confined areas where space is at a premium. Direct integration of the pressure storage tank keeps the dimensions to the minimum.

Explosion Protection: Venting

Explosion suppresion system
The ANTIDET Suppressor protective system serves to suppress a dust explosion within a protected facility by actively interfering with the process of burning (extinguishing). An explosion suppression system must often be combined with an explosion separation system.

EXPLOSION SUPPRESSION
Fike suppression systems are designed to detect and chemically suppress an explosion in its earliest stages – before an explosion can cause a disaster or become catastrophic. While un-suppressed explosion pressures reach dangerous levels in less than 50 milliseconds, Fike’s unique technology can detect and respond in less than 1 millisecond – averting a catastrophe.

Explosion Vent panels
VIGILEX explosion vent panels meet all the essential health and safety requirements for even an explosive atmosphere (Directive 94/9/CE) . In case of a fire, the explosion vents are designed to evacuate : the pressure, flames and dusts, thereby protecting people and the industrial equipment. Explosion venting
The ANTIDET Relief protective system serves to relieve the explosion pressure and other products of an explosion into the environment of the protected facility. It is a passive element and does not in any way involve itself in the burning process during an explosion. As all explosion venting systems require a delineation of a sufficient safety zone for venting explosion products, which forbid the presence of individuals, barriers, or environment at risk of an explosion. It further requires the integration with the explosion venting system.

Explosive Cleaning
For severe encrustations or large blockages in silos and vessels, controlled explosive cleaning is used. Targeted charges break up hardened material deposits and restore product flow without causing damage to the installation. This highly specialised method is carried out exclusively by certified personnel authorised for explosive operations.

Extinguishing Barrier
The ANTIDET Barrier is an extinguishing barrier for separating the explosion and serves to extinguish an explosion flame that spreads through pipelines from one facility into another, by actively interfering with the burning process (extinguishing). The facility itself is often safeguarded by explosion venting or by an explosion suppression system.

Extraction Hoods
MOTEC develops and designs intake elements specifically tailored to the needs of our customers. Our target is to capture the substances that are released directly at source, thus protecting the environment from contamination. For this purpose, we find solutions for a wide range of applications, e.g. filling and filling processes, cleaning and working stations, transport-, mixing and grinding processes, as well as sorting systems. Our intake elements are Vortex Extraction Hoods and Vortex Slot Extraction Units. Compared to conventional suction hoods, these are significantly more efficient with the same or even lower suction volume flow. Our intake elements are distinguished by a particularly uniform detection performance over the entire detection opening. Particular attention is paid to the design of the Vortex Extraction Hoods and Vortex Slot Extraction Units in order to preserve the freedom of the employees and not to create an additional source of disturbance.
