Optimizing material recovery through LiDAR-based waste monitoring
Cireco (Scotland) LLP, a leading company for complete resource management, works with volumetric measuring specialist Quvo Limited in deploying Blickfeld LiDAR sensors for stockpile monitoring. The automated volume monitoring solution provides the company with accurate data on the amount of waste stored in bunkers before sorting. The real-time data not only improves the utilization of the materials recovery facility but also provides the accounting and the logistics departments with a reliable source of data to more easily comply with material storage regulations for safety and risk reasons. Solution Three Blickfeld Cube 1 LiDAR sensors were mounted on the ceiling to cover the storage bunkers and detect the stored waste. Due to the large field of view, three devices were sufficient to cover the vast area. The laser-based sensors continuously generate a live stream of 3D data. The associated perception software uses this data to calculate the volume of material in the respective boxes down to the ton. Any change in the inventory becomes immediately visible. The data can also be accessed remotely, making on-site employee estimation obsolete. Thanks to Blickfeld's volume monitoring solution, the waste company now has on-demand access to a reliable data source for inventory management. The accurate data enables Cireco to better forecast the resources in each bunker and leverage more storage capacity, leading to improved planning, utilization, and control of the material recovery facility. Advantages • Accurate, real-time inventory capture • Flexible installation • Coverage of large areas • Easy registration of point clouds from multiple devices

PCC-NP: Economical bulk material conveying for standard applications
At HECHT, we know that every move counts in industrial production - as does every budget. With the PCC-NP, we are expanding our portfolio with a particularly attractive solution for pneumatic bulk material conveying, especially for free-flowing powders and granulates over short distances. The new HECHT ProClean Conveyor - Non Pressure (PCC-NP) was developed to solve simple conveying tasks efficiently, safely and cost-effectively - e.g. when feeding tablet presses, filling systems or when transferring into closed systems. Our customers benefit from price savings of up to 60 % compared to standard conveyors - and with the usual high HECHT quality. Thanks to its purely pneumatic control, compact design and tool-free filter change, the PCC-NP is not only particularly easy to maintain, but can also be easily integrated into existing production systems. With a conveying capacity of up to 1,500 l/h (depending on the product and route), it reliably covers many classic applications in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries. Naturally, the PCC-NP also fulfils important safety requirements: With ATEX certification for Zone 22 (indoors), it is also ideally suited for areas with a risk of dust explosion. Our aim was to create an entry-level solution for companies that want reliable yet cost-effective conveyor technology - without compromising on convenience, safety or quality. The PCC-NP - clever, compact and consistently economical.

People. Ideas. Models.
Under this motto, Infastaub Managing Director Norbert Kuhn gave an interview at an event hosted by Naspa (Nassauische Sparkasse) about the importance of filter systems in production processes for a wide variety of industries and their contribution to sustainability.

Precise Level Measurement with Non-Contact Radar Non-Contact Radar Measurement: The Technology Behind NivoRadar® Sensors
Dust, high temperatures, or turbulent surfaces – demanding measurement conditions are part of everyday life in many industries. Non-contact level measurement using radar has proven to be one of the most precise and reliable methods for a wide range of diverse applications. Thanks to radar technology, level measurement can be carried out accurately and without contact – even under extreme conditions. Radar sensors use electromagnetic waves to determine the fill level. A high-frequency signal is emitted, reflected by the surface of the medium, and received as an echo. The time between transmission and reception determines the fill level. The 80 GHz technology ensures a highly focused signal with a narrow beam angle of just 3°. This enables precise measurements even in narrow tanks or installations with complex internals. Additionally, antennas with a small beam angle can be positioned closer to the tank wall, reducing interference reflections from obstacles such as agitators. NivoRadar® – Flexible Solutions for Every Application UWT offers various models to meet different requirements: * NR 3: High-precision 80 GHz sensor for bulk solids in silos and containers.
