    1. Silo overfill protection

      Silo overfill protection

Application area: The silo overfill protection is suitable for preventing overfilling for silos to be filled pneumatically. It consists of a pneumatic pinch valve with electric solenoid valve in the filling line and a switch box. For the function, a maximum fill level limit switch must be provided by the customer on the silo and compressed air (approx. 6 bar) free of oil and water must be constantly available. The switch box is connected to 380 V, 50 Hz power supply. Electrical wiring and compressed air supply must be provided by the customer. The system must be switched on before the filling. Blowing in is not possible without electrical voltage. Electrical equipment: The pinch valve is closed in the normal state. It must be released by pressing a button before starting the filling. The use of the system can be signalled remotely by local equipment such as indicator lamp or similar. A signal to be set up by the customer (horn or similar) is triggered if the fill level reaches the maximum sensor. The delivery must be stopped immediately. The signal can be switched off at the switch box. After a specified (configurable) time, the pinch valve then closes automatically whereby any further filling of the silo is prevented. If the pinch valve has closed for full delivery, it can be opened again using a key switch by responsible operating personnel to flush out the fill tube with air to clear residue material. The valve must be closed again afterwards (Attention! The protection is not effective during actuation using the key switch!). A magnetic switch is attached to the fill tube coupling. The vibration motor of the silo ventilation filter is switched on by a pulse for 10 - 20 seconds when the blank coupling populated with magnets is removed. The vibration process repeats after completion of the filling when attaching the blank coupling. A version without automatic filter vibration is also optionally available. At high air injection pressure due to the final sloshing or in the case of soiled filter elements, overpressure in the silo can occur which exceeds the setting value of the overpressure valve. A pressure switch can be installed in the silo roof to prevent this risk. If the setpoint pressure is exceeded, the pinch valve closes automatically, the filter is cleaned and then the pinch valve opens again and the filling process can be continued until the maximum sensor is tripped.

    8. SILVERLINE PU Scraper

      SILVERLINE PU Scraper

The SILVERLINE PU scraper is a pre-scraper that was specially developed and optimized for sticky materials. It is also particularly suitable for conveyor systems where belts of different thicknesses have been connected to one another. The segments made from the polyurethane mixture specially developed for us are particularly durable and therefore require little maintenance. We are currently developing a new heat-resistant polyurethane mixture together with our supplier so that this scraper can also be used in high temperature ranges.

    9. Simultaneous Mixing and Dispersing - DISPERMIX

Simultaneous Mixing and Dispersing - DISPERMIX

In many applications simple mixing is not sufficient to get a product with a homogeneous quality. This is especially true when powders that tend to form agglomerates or gels (CMC, Xanthan, Carbopol, Locust bean gum, Alginate etc.) have to be mixed into liquids. This is the point where the capability of a mixing tool has to show its effect. Large area mixing does not help even when using a Jetstream mixer as the moment when the agglomerates leave the mixing head the turbulence in the liquid is not strong enough to destroy the lumps or agglomerates, and they float with the turbulence only. The best example is the treatment of the above mentioned powders. Conventional stirrers require a lot of energy and time to dissolve or break the lumps as the powder immediately forms a layer of gel at the surface and further powders then float at the surface level. The stirring element can [after some time], remove the layer but the small lumps, some less than a millimetre, can’t be broken down. Very often an additional processing step with a dispersing machine or a high pressure homogeniser is required. Especially for such applications a mixing and dispersing tool has been developed that offers a perfect compromise between large volume mixing (macro mixing) and required dispersing effect (micro mixing). The part of the mixing head that is responsible for the large volume mixing shows a similarity with the head of a Jetstream mixer, while the part for the dispersing looks like a batch rotor-stator high shear system. The performance of a DISPERMIX is in-between the performance of a Jetstream mixer and the shear capability of a batch disperser. Perfect applications are the dissolving of CMC powder; Carbopol; Plastisol colouring; Polymer solutions; cold emulsifying of aroma oil; production and suspending of juice concentrates; ice cream pre-mix; pre-Emulsifying of soft margarine; dessert-sauces of all kind; chocolate, and milk pudding; and pre-mixes, especially when hydro colloids have to be mixed into a liquid.
