    3. Shakeout

      Shakeout

The JOEST Shakeout is a high-performance solution for the automated separation of sand lumps and castings in foundry production. Especially in wet casting processes, it ensures reliable and gentle material processing – even under high temperatures and mechanical loads. Its modular design, robust construction, and precisely adjustable vibration parameters allow optimal adaptation to a wide variety of requirements. The use of high-quality materials such as manganese steel, individually configurable grate systems, and a low-vibration design ensures maximum operational safety while keeping noise levels low. Combined with automated control systems, energy-efficient drives, and ergonomic maintenance concepts, the shakeout becomes a key component of modern foundry operations.

    4. Shaking filter INFA-MAT AM with mechanical cleaning for dedusting of exhaust air

Shaking filter INFA-MAT AM with mechanical cleaning for dedusting of exhaust air

The pocket filter INFA-MAT AM is a sturdy and easily mechanical cleanable filter unit. Because of the compact design the installation is also possible in case of constricted space. The proven shaking system ensures an effective cleaning of the filter cloth at low investment and maintenance costs. The modular variety of the INFA-MAT pocket filter series allows an optimum adaption of the filter units to specific needs. Several types are possible for different dedusting tasks: Vent filters with/without fan for dedusting of conveyor equipment or silos Dedusting unit with hopper and dust bin. Also available with integrated fan. Design possible as one chamber filter or multi chamber filter Bag emptying filter consisting of sack discharge, filter unit and integrated suction fan Optional secondary filter stage for residual dust contents less than 1 mg/m³ Filter surface from 6 - 180 m² for volume flows up to approx. 16,000 m³/h Operating mode: INFA-MAT pocket filters are mechanically cleaned by a shaking system after completing the dedusting process. Fans of the filter units have to be switched off during cleaning. Cleaning period is normally 30 seconds. The filter cloth with its combined pockets is easily accessible via a big front door. It is kept in a sliding frame, so that change of filter media is quickly and easily practicable.

    5. SHOCK-BLOWER® air-blast units

      SHOCK-BLOWER® air-blast units

The SHOCK-BLOWER® reliably clears material deposits and keeps bulk solids flowing. AGRICHEMA’s SHOCK-BLOWER® system enables individual solutions for all sectors of the bulk solids industry. For over 40 years now, buildups of bulk solids have been successfully cleared with the SHOCK-BLOWER® air blast system. SHOCK-BLOWER® air blast devices store compressed air (or inert gas), then release it as needed in the manner of an explosion. SHOCK-BLOWER® air blast devices with hot-dip galvanized compressed air tanks and valve seats made from CrNi steel have been designed for a long service life and high levels of operational safety. Thanks to the unique valve technology, which pneumatically closes the piston in just milliseconds, you can save up to 50% compressed air/power. At normal temperature range SHOCK-BLOWER®s are used in transfer hoppers and chutes, dust pipes, filters, mills, sifting machines and more. At high temperature range SHOCK-BLOWER®s are used in cyclones and pipes, preheaters and heat exchangers, clinker brick chutes, grate cooler inlets, incineration plants, small-scale firing systems and lots of other places. The POWER PACK system for the SHOCK-BLOWER® is intended for use when space for installing and servicing multiple SHOCK-BLOWER® units is very tight. The POWER PACK station with 1 compressed air tank and up to 8 external valve units can be installed in easily accessible places. The exhaust points are connected via appropriate pipes, enabling air to be blasted from several meters’ distance. The strength of the air blasts is not appreciably reduced by the extra distance.

    6. Shut-off valves

      Shut-off valves

Application areas: The MAHR shut-off valves: Uncomplicated, robust components for many different operating conditions. Shut-off valve with one flange (F1): Everywhere where flexible connection is required. A rubber or cloth sleeve (or similar) connects to the downstream element. Typical example: Between silo and weigher, sieve machines etc. Shut-off valve with two flanges (F2): Everywhere where positive connection to the downstream element is necessary. Typical example: Between silo and screw, rotary feeder etc. Three actuation types can be selected for both base units: a. Electropneumatic drive b. Gear motor drive c. Manual operation Material / design: Valve body: die cast aluminium Valve disk: material grey cast iron with neoprene rubber coating Shaft journals: material, made of C 40, with self-lubricating plastic bushes which do not come into contact with the product F1: flange on one side + sleeve nozzle F2: flange on both sides a. Electropneumatic drive: EP 80 - EP 100 - EP 125 = piston diameter b. Gear motor drive: Gear motor: Size GM2: 0.55 kW Gear motor: Size GM2: 0.75 kW c. Manual operation: H2: Hand lever 300 mm long H3: Hand lever 500 mm long Technical data: Dust-tight: alternatively pressure-tight up to 0.2 bar Sealing ring: nitrile rubber (NBR black), temperature-resistant from -30 °C to +130 °C, not suitable for food Advantages: Physical: very resistant to oils, heat and ageing Mechanical: flexible, hardly deformable, very low gas permeability Chemical: resistant to mineral oils, hydrocarbonates, water, steam, gas and vegetable oils In the case of changing the operating process, it is possible at any time to change the shut-off valves to a different type of actuation
