NEUMAN & ESSER Process Technology DCX
Our Deflector Classifier eXtra DCX is a highly efficient air separator which has its strengths particularly in the classification of finest products. The fine classifier can be perfectly integrated into existing grinding, classification and separating processes. The product to be classified is fed to this classifier in the process air. Therefore, the product no longer needs to be separated again prior to classification. The feed material is fed to the classifier from below with the process air. The adjustable deflector ring in the classifier allows the feeding of the product to the classifier wheel from above. Here, the deflector ring enables simultaneous, even radial oncoming flow to the classifier wheel using the process air. Classification of Finest Particles Installations and the housing shape achieve reduced flow speeds. They also guide finest particles within the classifier into the classifying zone in a targeted manner. A classifier wheel designed for the individual fineness requirements separates the finest particles from the coarse material here. The air guidance, which is optimized with CFD simulations, achieves low pressure loss and therefore high energy efficiency. Homogeneous classification conditions and the exploitation of the entire classification zone enable maximum yields with low energy requirements. Our DCX classifier is ideal for maximizing the quantity produced and product quality for existing systems such as ball mills and micronizers which are equipped with older construction style classifiers.

NEUMAN & ESSER Process Technology GRC
Our guide ring classifier GRC is a latest generation high-efficiency air separator, which offers top yields, precise separation limits and minimum energy requirements. It can be operated as an independent aggregate and combined with a mill. The feed material is fed from the top using a vertical pipe. After the feed material drops into the dispersion unit, it enters the classification zone. The air required for classification carries the particles to the classifier wheel. Small particles, the fine materials, are being pulled through the classifier wheel by the classifying air. The fine material is then separated from the air in the following filter. The classifier wheel rejects particles which are too large, and they reach the bottom of the classifier as coarse material. An airlock discharges this material there. Superfine Classification With Guide Ring Classifier The fine material with a particle size of up to 2 µm is separated from the air flow by the downstream filter. Various versions of the GRC air classifier are available for higher outputs and different applications. The typical uses for the guide ring classifier range from minerals via pigments and paints to the chemicals and food sectors. However, our GRC can also be used to separate substances or to generate fractions which require an increased concentration of a specific substance. The application fields here range from the recycling area to protein enrichment to reducing the chloride content of waste dust from the cement and steel industries.

NEUMAN & ESSER Process Technology ICM
The impact classifier mill ICM is used for fine and finest grinding of brittle materials. During impact grinding, the grinding tools throw the feed material into the liner and crush it. Following this, the integrated classifier separates the material. The grinding fineness can be set there flexibly using the classifier’s rotary speed. The classifier rejects particles which are too coarse. The coarse material is returned to the grinding zone for further particle size reduction. Highly Selective Classification with Impact Classifier Mill The advantages of the ICM are its narrow particle size distribution and precise upper particle size restrictions of 10 μm to 2,000 μm. This allows for precise setting of the desired product properties regarding flow capacity, color intensity, shine, applicability and taste. The typical impact classifier mill applications are in the areas of chemicals, pigments, powder coating, minerals, coal, food, sweets, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

This allows the yield of the rounding process to be significantly increased.

NEUMAN & ESSER Process Technology PM
Pendulum Mill: Proven Grinding Concept, Robust Construction The pendulum mill owes its long service life in part to the unique combination of a sturdy, cast mill housing and a rotor with a crosshead. The grinding rollers of the eponymous move at medium speeds on the grinding ring. The arising centrifugal forces crush the grist between the grinding rollers and the grinding ring. Rotating shovels guide the grist from the mill bottom to the grinding zone. Then, system air transports the ground particles from the grinding zone to the classifier. The classifier rejects the coarse product and guides it back into the mill for re-grinding. If the particles have achieved the desired fineness, they pass through the mill classifier. A downstream aggregate separates it out of the air flow. Minimal Grinding System Energy Requirements The input quantities for the various mill sizes range from 0.5 t/h to 150 t/h. Our pendulum mill achieves high requirements for grain size distribution easily and extremely energy efficiently, even in case of the highest demands regarding the fineness to be achieved. The achievable upper particle sizes range from 10 μm to 1,000 μm.
